What`s everyone think of the B teams since everyone talks about Open lately??? I just want to hear your thoughts on how good teams are and who looks promising...

they all have a lot of potential but the RAWDAWGS suck

My Opinion is:
Rawdawgs look strong with quite a few weapons on Offense--probably the most complete team hence their record.

Canes and Blitz have the best athletes and just need to put it together

Acid seems to have a strong defense but offense seems to struggle

Rude Buddah has a very dangerous QB (running)

...and the sleeper is the Sandbaggers. I rate their QB the best but he just does not have the talent around him. Get him some receivers and they could have a chance.

Will show why they are the best in the div when they play raw dogs next week

the top 3 or 4 teams in B could compete just fine w/most of the B teams, top 5 or so would school them but Raw Dawgs, Canes, Cougars, and Blitz would be fine vs the majority of the upper division

Qb is the truth....

every year there is talk about how the top Novice teams could compete in the open league. There is a big gap between novice and open.

there is a big gap between Open and Novice and there is a big gap between the top of Open and the bottom of Open. If you cant win more then 1/3 of your games in the open divison (and there are 8 teams that cant get above the .333 winning percentage) being in a higher division and getting smoked doesnt make you better then a B league team just because your coach checked the A box instead of the B box. there are 5-10 teams that are clearly better then everyone else, and about 20 that are more closely linked. i think it would have been wiser to do either an A, B, or C, or have the A division be smaller and the B division be larger and be the open division.

I don`t think most really understand what "compete" means. Ain`t anybody say that any of the B teams would run the table or smoke the top 5 teams, hell the bottom 10 open teams ain`t doing so well in the Open division. What actually happens every season is someone tries to clown a B or C division. Everyone pays their money so get off it.

Actually this thread was fine until post #6 had to say something ******ed! Damn, if you don`t like talking about B or C teams then leave the thread alone!

What actually needs to happen is this board needs to expand! Tom or Locs somebody please add separate forums, No more of this open style. Have "A league", "B" and "C", maybe throw in some off topic like NFL or NCAA, or whatever. Then we can have a few moderators to police the threads like a Loc`s, move threads that don`t pertain to the topic to the appropriate forum. Get rid of all the invisible or striking nonsense. If the thread is dumb or not worthy of league talk you "lock" it.

Can we make it happen? So that people stop hijacking threads! There are a few players interested in how the B Division is comgin along.

B teams have open players on sunday teams who can play with any open weeknight team

You guys have more interesting conversations in your league. Don`t believe the foolishness. I don`t have any special privileges or `power` on this messageboard. I`m just a vet that wants the messageboard to get back to conversations more like this one. And it will once I expose the clowns on this board. Trust me.

I don`t understand why people get on a thread like this and can`t act more mature about it. It just pisses me off how I`m trying to ask an honest question and things were going fine till around post number 6 like someone previously stated. What some dumba$$es in this league don`t know is that there are a lot of OPEN players on the B league teams and are on those teams to help them get thier team started or just to have fun.

To the guy who said "call it the B division. You`re disrespecting the B teams playing in the open division. Either C or novice works." You sir obviously didn`t pass elementary reading because if you click the "Seasons" tab then click "2009 Spring" tab it clearly states the divisions as follows:

Open East
Open West
B LEAGUE (Not C nor Novice you tool)

And just another piece of advice in that you shouldn`t diss some of the B league teams because in all honesty you`d be suprised how some of the top tier B teams can actually hang with the Open League teams...

Top B teams can def roll in Open, prob go .500. However, you look @ The Raw Dawgs who are running B, they went like 2-8 in B in the Fall, got run on by teams like Signal. Not that Signal is bad I think they are a low end A team. So Open is def tougher, but I`ve seen you B teams play and some of ya`ll def got athletes. The truly good B teams will prosper once they get to open, and the weak will dissapear.

Raw Dawgs should probably be in Open. my guess is they either figured out the strategic part of the game or brought in some new athletes cuz i dont know how they finished 2-8 in C in the fall. sometimes its hard to tell because the names stay the same but there can be a lot of turnover or teams that merge over time

Excellent post. Some of the teams in B have turnover and can`t compete yet in A. Maybe a season like this for the Raw Dawgs will give them confidence to move up to A next season. Nobody`s contracted, we all pay to play, so its about who shows up every season, every game. But then again, that`s a problem for any team.

From what I`ve seen, Raw Dawgs & Hurricanes have the best def rush by far.

havent seen the Hurricanes. Raw Dawgs have some good pass rushers and a pretty solid D overall.

Rude Buddha QB is tearing teams apart (Running) and (Very Strong Arm.) but their downfall is too many penalty`s and Weak Receivers if they didn`t commit the penalty`s they would be in a much better position.

Well its pretty simple, their 4 wins are against the 6,7,9,and 10th placed teams. Thats what makes their schedule easy. They tied a decent Acid Reign. I give them credit for winning the games they are supposed to win but lets see how they do against the top 1/2 of the division.

Hurricanes, Raw Dawgs, Acid Reign, and Cougars. First place is really meaningless at this point because the teams have played different schedules and the Hurricanes stil haven`t beaten a team over .500, so to say they`re the best team is a hard argument to make in my book. If they beat the Cougars and Dawgs then they deserve the 1 seed entering the playoffs.

Acid Reign has played the top 5 opponents in the division already this season. Food for thought.

good game dawgs. the refs weren`t all that great last night, for either team.. that`s why we try to take them out of the equation and not let ghost calls or non calls effect the outcome. It doesn`t work out that way most of the time. hahaha

From playing the Raw Dawgs enough times in my day, and from watching the likes of the Caines and Acid Reign (both good teams), Hurricanes are definitely the best team in B right now. Haven`t seen the Cougars and they could be coming around, but don`t get it twisted B Leaguers. Hurricanes are definitely the team to beat, look at their AvPD. And they have a very fast running QB, and a QB who is a decent thrower. They may not win it all, but they are the top team as of now, hence the rankings.

Thats a lot of maybes for someone who dose there homework.

Not saying the Hurricanes arent good. And they`re PD is solid. Just pointing out that they`ve had the benefit of playing the bottom half of the division and they teams they`re blowing out are getting blown out by the top half of the division, not just the Hurricanes

From what I saw/seen of Blitz, the team has athletes but way too much arguing and whining amongst each other. They`re one of "those" teams that have a bunch of good players come out but dont play together. I was on a team like that once, and trust me, these teams fail miserably.

Canes, Dawgs, Reign, Buddah, Cougars are the teams to watch out for.

Canes are definitely certified. any team that is in position to take a lead over the Blitz before the rain is obviously the real deal and should be handed the trophy now. everyone else is just wasting time.

most teams shows frustration, confusion, anger, and chaos then they are trailing. Its called being competitive.

Blitz is capable of pulling off an upset in the playoffs but does not have a enough team chemistry to take the whole thing. Come playoff time, things go wrong in every playoff game and championship teams come together to overcome them. Blitz is not capable of this, complete roster filled with athletes or not. --not to talk smack, just the truth.

Cougars and Hurricanes next week should be a good one

Hurricanes are quick and shifty but Cougars might be the best flag pulling team in B-League.

Hurricanes were pretty good last night and just flat out beat the Shockers and Im suprised they didn`t win by more but they definitely had a good QB rotation of one with a good arm and the other just a flat out burner with his feet.

I seen one guy from the canes make three guys fall on a TD run. and there Qb (QBs) got busy to. Shockers D no bueno!

we had a late monday game but i saw blitz play monday night against sanbaggers. for future teams they have 2 qbs. ones a runner with strong arm but little accuracy, the other is a mobile in the pocket qb with a good arm and good accuracey. im surprised the record is what it is.

Not sure why people talk about the Blitz like they are good. The team to watch out for is Acid Reign. They are team that is most improved in the second half of the season and could be a force come playoff time. Just relaying what I have seen.

I think everyone is playing better in the second half of the season , but anything can happen during a game.Some scores are closer than expected and other team you expect to get blown out are making it close.

Is scared. All the posts about AR on this messageboard are from their own players. They won B last year but are still playing in B again. I`m not trashing on the B league but shouldn`t you move up (regardless of lineup changes) if you already won a championship at the B level. yeah he definitely talks way too much. They`re not a bad team but they`re not the best in B either. Their offense isnt very good. Defense is above average but not overly impressive.

How do you determine if a team has been tested ?

From watching the Canes they looked like they had their **** together with a good QB being clutch in the end with his arm and their defense flying around the ball.

There is really no knowing of who is tested and who isn`t. You will never know what happens from week to week because one minute the bad teams beat good team or good teams will crush bad teams. I think guys in this league look way too much into who has beaten who which like I said earlier doesn`t matter because even bad teams come out of nowhere to beat a good team sometimes.

Raw Dawgs only put up 16 points!? This should have been a blowout game against a winless team. The only explanation is that they must be backing into the playoffs. They aren`t that good after all.

Well a shutout is a shutout, no matter how you look at it. That means they didn`t allow a winless team to score on them.

Why does it matter? People have been trashing teams for the dumbest reasons ( Haven`t been tested, didn`t win by enough, won by too much, beaten the teams on the bottom) It is football and a W is a W .Any team can win on any given day by any number of points and teams that were not good at the start of the season will get better. All the teams come to play no metter the level of competition.

We can now say which teams are truly pulling away. Canes, Dawgs, Cougars, Reign for sure. Not having a QB will hurt Blitz`s chances of making any noise. Cougars are a team that can knock off any of the top 3. Should be an exciting end to the season........

Here`s how the game went down in the Dawgs vs. Canes game:

1. Dawgs drive down the field and kick field goal (3-0)

2. Canes drive down the field and kick field goal (3-3)

3. Dawgs drive down the field and score a touchdown with a quick hit to one of their lineman (10-3)

4. Canes drive down field to kick field goal (10-6)

5. Dawgs drive a little over half the field and throw a bomb to their receiver who caught a touchdown off great coverage skills of the Canes CB who hit it away from the receiver, but it went straight up in the air and fell in the hands of the receiver... (17-6)

Here`s where it gets pretty crazy, so bare with me...

6. Dawgs off their last touchdown were called for unsportsmanlike conduct which they had to kick from their 20. Dawgs kick off to Canes and the Canes returner ran it back for a TD with FIVE MINUTES LEFT in the game (17-13)

7. Canes kick back off to the Dawgs. The ball flies all the way to the goaline and sits there while the Dawgs returner looks at it thinking it`s a touchback, but the Canes kicking team recovered it and fell in the endzone for a touchdown in which the Canes now go on top with two TD`s in less than 30 seconds... (20-17)

8. Canes drove it down the field again, and the running QB ran it in from the Dawgs five yard line for a TD (27-17)

End of Game

Was the Canes QB`s ? They were missing the two regular running QB`s.

Who knows where they were... Probably had family stuff to do, so we went on with our same game plan.
