     Acid Reign offseason issues

John Clayton5:16 PM

There have been numerous reports out of Warrenton regarding how one of their players is conducting himself in a manner not approved by the IFFL. Acid Reign is looking into a possible indefinite suspension based on his behavior and continued hair loss. This player has skipped OTAs and mandatory lifting sessions to in an attempt to court someone three decades older. Any suggestions on a fair punishment by team officials?

Due to legal issues, the organization has not released the player`s name. However, my source within the organization stated that team is looking to release the player and even pursued trade options before the trade deadline but were only offered a kicking tee in return. The problem with just flat out releasing the player is that after the team`s 2008 championship run and while he was star LB/Center, the team franchised him and inked him to a large long time contract. Even more troubling is that his sunday team (not disclosed for legal reasons) have also launched an investigation pertaining to recent allegations to inappropriate off-the-field behavior. Time will only tell how this one pans out...back to your Stuart

wow10:15 PM

Release him11:16 AM

This is subtraction by subtraction..

This guy needs someone to remind him that it is a privelege to play in this league, not a right. I just hope for the player`s sake that team officials will be able to handle these off-the-field issues in-house before the commissioner is forced to take action.

WHO ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

***BREAKING NEWS***
Warrenton Acid Reign player convicted of substance abuse yesterday afternoon. He appeared to be "ALL KINDS A SWOLL!" at the hearing and his only comment was "Don`t make me angry....You won`t like me when I`m angry" and then proceeded to turn green and rip off his lab coat.

Back to you Sal!

IFFLer12:31 PM

so any new updates with this guy? lol

Sal Palentonio10:28 PM

Through my various contacts within the organization, things have gone from bad to worse. Things have escalated so much that I am told that all communication between with his Sunday team has ceased completely. Rumors around the AR camp is that they will not release him before the start of training camp next week but will continue to actively pursue a trade with the hopes of receiving an average-to-subpar player from the Co-Ed league in return. However, right now, there just doesn`t seem to be any interest around the league and the AR organization will be faced with a very difficult decision: cut the player or deal with the distraction thoughout training camp.

ESPN NEWS.................10:21 AM

The great debate in the IFFL in these earliest days of the offseason surrounds one players fate, and to some degree, I`m learning that reality depends on who you talk to.

One side holds that owner of AR now knows what he must do, and for the good of the team`s badly damaged locker-room chemistry, he will bite the bullet and acknowledge the player and his high-maintenance ways are the epicenter of the problem, making him an ex-player before a $3 roster bonus is due in early August.

Call it the less-is-more approach to fixing what obviously ails the outfit formerly known as Warrenton`s Team.

"You can`t discredit the guy`s numbers,`` one AR source told me this week. "He makes plays. But the game is about much more than just numbers, and the game is much more than just one person. The headaches you have to put up with catering to someone aren`t worth it.``

The other viewpoint is little more shaded in gray. It contends that he has become nothing more than the handiest, catch-all scapegoat for the AR chemistry troubles, with his long track record of issues now being fully projected onto his present in order to make the case his release would be just the cathartic purging needed in Warrenton.

Da Na NUH Da Na NUH!

BREAKING NEWS10:54 PM

This is Sal Palentonio reporting from Bulldog training camp. I have just been notified by my source close to the situation that a trade has been agreed in principle to send "The Player" from Acid Reign to the Bull Dog`s in exchange for the Bull Dog`s 4th string utility player and a water bootle. The trade has been approved by the league pending a physical by the Bull Dog medical staff tommorrow morning. The Player from Acid Reign is expected to ride in on his camel early tommorrow morning for the physical. Bull Dog team officials hope to have The Player suit up for the team`s afternoon practice session. I will keep everyone posted on any new developments. This is Sal Palentonia reporting from Bull Dog camp...

BREAKING NEWS12:27 PM

This is Sal Palentonio reporting live from Bull Dog training camp where breaking news has just materialized regarding the blockbuster trade between Acid Reign and the Bull Dogs. In a statement released from the Bull Dog organization about five minutes ago, the trade was declined by the Bull Dogs due to “The Player” failing the preliminary physical. Although the specific reasons for the failed physical have not been disclosed by team officials; my source within the organization, who requested remain anonymous, stated that the team medical staff were highly concerned about “The Player’s” extremely high levels of nicotine and caffeine, which are substances most commonly found in Marlboro Light cigarettes and drinking excessive amounts of Starbucks coffee. Although not currently band by the FCFFL, my source stated that the levels were at levels high enough to kill a large guerilla and would severely impact “The Player’s” performance on the field this season. This coupled with "The Player`
s" very public-poor work ethic regarding OTAs and off-season conditioning, Bull Dog officials felt that allowing the trade to go through would be extremely detrimental to their team. Acid Reign team officials have not released a public statement as of yet, but it looks like they will have pursue other options. This was Sal Palentonio reporting live from Bull Dog camp.
