Recap:
The Sharks / Kerns brought there whole squad with the 9th grade, JV and Varsity all on the sidelines. There second team could probably finish in the top 5 this year.
Game recap: These two teams when they have all there players are pretty evenly matched with skill and veteran players.
Sharks got the ball and converted a second 3rd down for a 50+ yard catch and run. It seemed as if the QB was sacked with everyone stopping but there was no whistle and he got inside the 5. Scored on the next play. TC drove the ball to the 40 and had a TD pass boucn off a WR hands straight in the air for a int by the sharks. Sharks caught TC out of coverage and got a another 40+ yard pass. They got stopped inside the 20 for a FG. TC drove back down the field only to miss a FG. TC took the second half kick off and moved down the field for a TD. Once again the Sharks had 3rd and long and converted on a 80 yard TD pass. Great play by QB to get out of pocket. TC drove back down the field and kicked a FG with 4th and short. TC stopped the Sharks on 4th and had the ball one last time with under 3 minutes to go. Two drop passes and the Sharks held.
Bottom line is that TC missed flags and the Sharks playmakers made them pay all night long. It was a pretty good clean game and hopefully for the leagues sake we will all get to see a rematch in the finals. |

Forgot to mention in the recap that Kern missed a fg off the cross bar with 3 minutes to go. That was a 4th and 2 feet where the Kern decided to try and put the game away with the fg instead of going for it. Well played game by both teams, but as they say the winner always plays the better game. |
