Dating back to 2006, of all the past B, B-runner up and C Champions currently playing in Open, only one (Novacaine) has a winning record this spring. Actually, the majority of those teams are at the bottom in Open. Its a different league gentlemen, a different league where the opponent`s mistakes are minimized, the line of scrimmage is more physical and the margin or error is extremely thin.

A good test for the Bulldogs will be when they play Wahoos (aka Storm) in a few weeks. Storm in my opinion was a solid B, maybe an A- team. Not sure if they have all the same players but I`m sure they still have a lot of their veterans.

I will have to put my money on the Wahoos simply because they are a veteran team. Plus on paper, their defense is looking nice.

Bulldogs can compete with novacaines and ANY A team. Yes, joining C league was a mistake but too late now.

There are only a few veteran players on the Wahoos, so my money is on the Bulldogs. Plus, they are too small. Hey maybe, Bulldogs and Wahoos can combine to play together in the Fall. Nice.

Obviously wahoos are not the same team hence the past 2 seasons not making it past the 1st round of C playoffs.

Rude Buddha has the talent to do it, but they can`t seem to get their act together. Great QB and great linemen... Just no true leader on the team and they don`t play smart football.

If a new team like 7pt Spread can jump into the open and beat most of the vet teams, why can`t the Bulldogs do the same? I feel both Bulldogs and 7pt Spread have the same skill level as each other. So Andy, you can`t say the Wahoos can beat the bulldog`s simply because their a "veteran team"

Bulldogs are very similar to 7pt and has just as much talent which is why they CAN compete with the top tier open teams.

7pt Spread is not a new team...new to this league yes but not a new team. Trust me, you can`t compare Bulldogs to 7pt Spread.

Some team in the C league, beats up on everybody and proclaims they can do the same in A/Open. While I agree, moving up is the next step, having good athletes is just the first step, which the bulldogs have. That alone will let you beat 85% of the C league teams. But when you move up A level ball, you need to have chemistry, know the rules, and be discipline. QB running around till somebody gets open and throwing it deep every other play, not gone work with the bid boys.

I am not trying to disrespect your team or the C league in any way. I`m just trying to help you be realistic. I`ve been in this league for a while and have seen something like this every season where a C team gets over confident. Confidence is fine but you have to earn your place in this league before calling out the top dogs.

I`ve been in the C league and have won it. I thought I was badass until I went 0-8 in the A league. I was humbled quick and learned it the hard way.

Alright fellas, I appreciate some of the respect that we have been given. It has been a tough time going from 0-9 last spring in our first season to 5-0 this spring with the addition of only 2 players. The true A teams in this league are really good and our team knows that. No one on the Bulldogs thinks we are an A caliber team yet, nor think that we can beat the likes of teams like TC that have one of the best rosters in the country year in and year out. We have finally found how to play and win as a team and we will move up in the fall and definitely play open next Spring. We have a lot of respect for all the teams in open and know we would be competitive in the B portion of the playoffs, but we needed to build our team by playing in the same league we struggled in last year. Altough we hoped to be undefeated at this point in the season, we never thought that we would be sitting 5-0 right now. Fortunately for us, C was the right call for doing that and building confidence within our team. We know Wahoos and Signal are good teams that we still have to play, and hopefully it comes out in our favor. We look forward to playing Novacaine on Monday if that is what happens and I hope to see some of you guys there to watch. Bottom line is we are a C team and we represent the C league. We do not have any Veteran players like most of you are, and our hope is to one day be playing with the likes of most of you as a competitive A team. That is our goal as a team and we hope to be there next year. We look forward to getting the opportunity to "run with the Vets" in the future. Novacaine has one game Monday night and its vs. The Bootleggers and thats how it will stay. I`ve already spoke to Matt Mikrut about a scrimmage sometime on the weekend. If you want to play us in front of everyone and try to prove something than don`t sign up for C League next time.
