Has anyone noticed that since the Bad Boyz added a couple of Sharks they havent been held under 27 points. The have been quiet could be in for a suprise come playoffs

Did they not tie Collision 14-14? And didn`t they only beat Chaos 14-3? I thought the Sharks players been there most of the season.

They`re still suspect. All gimmick... if your offense is built around the double lateral passes you`re not that good

Your crazy they only used it alot cause you couldnt stop i was at thier game last week and didnt do 1 double pass. y dont u and try and stop it. Newbies think they rule this league.

Well guess what Grove? Since you don`t know how to stop that play, what makes you think they should stop for you? Its the same as any other play, if a slant works on this team all day, why not keep abusing the slants? Same as for GO routes or any deep plays that the has weak links in their secondary. Apparently bad boys found a soft spot in your D and made you guys look silly with their "gimmicks"

Their double/triple passes are working because...
1) They are beating you with athletic players
2) Or it is because they are being executed with great control and intelligence (Double/Triple pass plays are not done commonly for a reason, it requires several versatile players on a team to be able to throw the football, and also everyone on the team learning how to run routes/catch ball properly)

This isn`t tackle football, and they are playing within the rulebook, so don`t go whining about their strategy. Its like asking a basketball team to not slam dunk all day on a midget team. If it works, then it works. Play in another league if you don`t like how the rules are laid out. It just happens that the these rules been around for 10+ years and the only teams that actually tried to play flag football to the fullest with these rules are DMOB/Sharks/BadBoys.

Yes you`re right as newbies it did work cause we were taught at a young age that two forward passes is a penalty, very hard to rewire... with that said We all have a right to our opinion, personally I`m not a fan of the gimmick but obviously we`ll be ready next time. Of course whoever you are you went off the deep end with a series of awful comparisons... to my point it wasnt anyone player that stood out for them other then the QB so I`d imagine it is not the addition of any players that will ultimately make or break their squad cause the scheme appears to be built around their core guys

I will give you that, it was a fast reaction response and the comparison were God aweful, however, many veteran teams knows how BadBoys play, and hence the reason why they haven`t won as many championships as they used too..

But you have to admit and give them some sort of credit for devising such a system (flag football is heavily oriented around a passing game, not a running game, so what we grew up with is irrelevant for this league), the gimmick they run works because of the experience and the utility players they have. Not many A teams can execute these gimmick strats off and pull away with a "W" or Tie against high caliber teams, so before you critique their gimmick strats, try to mimic their offense and you will find out fast that its not as easy as you think .

Anyone in this league can play ball textbook format, but how many teams can you name that can actually get away with creativity?

Lastly, I am sure you guys will beat them in the next bout... most veteran teams do, BadBoys defense isn`t the greatest, and they always go for two point conversions, if you guys learn how to take time off the clock and limit their offense on the field, you can walk away with a win easily if you slow down the pace of the game.

Yo Grove...I was out of town when we played you guys so I don`t have personal knowledge of the plays that were ran; however, based upon your commentary about us using the double pass: this is strictly a skill we picked up since joining the IFFL or since realizing it can be done in the IFFL. I`ve been with the team now for over 10 years, and we`ve played in MANY different leagues and this is the ONLY league that we use the "gimmick" because it is allowed. There are teams that used to kill us with it, like Playmakers, D-Mob, Sharks, etc. We learned how to do the same - so when in Rome, do as the Romans (ask your teammate Cody, he played with us a few times...he had no problem with it)!!

Lastly, again, not being there for the game places me at a disadvantage to comment on it; however, my teaamates mentioned a few things that we could have done differently to beat ya`ll and I`m sure you`ve devised a plan for the next time you see us. It`ll make for a good match-up if we see each other again!

D-Mob uses the double pass very effectively and are one of the best teams in the country at this format of 8-man eligible. You either learn to use it and learn to stop it, or continue to lose to it.

Grove, I may be wrong but I know for sure that one of the two td`s I caught was a simple post route. No gimmicks or anything; and the other I thought was when our qb rolled out of the pocket! But I`m sure one of them was a "normal" set and play.

D-MOB one of the best in the area you meant but not in the "country" you idiot. They don`t travel the states to play every team and for one ITS FLAG FOOTBALL...who cares... also doesn`t matter what offense you run or how you run, if the leagues rules say it`s ok then know there will be teams who will play it, because it`s Flag Football and we don`t go by NCAA or NFL rules. Just like the spread offense, some teams run it and some don`t, why? Because it`s Flag Football.

t2 You could be right one of the Td`s may have been on a good post route, but what I`m saying is that when you use double lateral passes on nearly half of your plays, I`m going to say your offense is gimmick. Yes we are not playing NCAA or NFL rules, but in general most folks just dont have double forward passes. I guess I`m just not sure why the league thought it was a good rule to even implement. Bottomline is we didnt lose the game. I just dont think the Bboyz are that good if that`s a staple of your offense you`re not gonna get any respeect from me... were all entitled to our opinions

D-MOB is the best in the country....FAIL

Actually, for this league type`s national tournament (which includes teams from Florida, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia) D-Mob is one of the best in the country. They have finished in the top four of this tournament every year since 2004 and won the title in 2006. So, as far as this league goes, they are one of the best team`s in the country.

And also Grove my TD at the end was on a corner route. Trust me Bad Boyz arent looking for your respect.

Is this really worth a conversation? It`s slowly turning into toot my own horn "thread". That`s 3 of the TD the Boy`s scored that game, now if only lil dee comes on here and recants how he sliced up our defense for that other score, it`ll be a complete game recap.

For the record, as Lenaord stated, yes i`ve played with the Badboyz beofre and I could careless how many times they run unconventional plays. until we learn how to stop it, we`ll continue to be on the short end of the stick. Next thing you know, everybody gone start doing it to us. Also, i don`t even think they used it that much, our inability to cover the releasing lineman is what proved fatal, in my opinion.

Whatever I dont care what Cody says the gimmick plays will work first time around on any team that`s never played in this league because it`s just not normal football or flag football. I was disappointed is all cause the bboyz have good players, but i feel like the double and triple pass being used more then five times in a game is crazy. We can now return to our regularly scheduled program :)
