05/06 : Cougars shut out CCR NOVAs 7-0

Cougars improve to 2-5-1 on the season, while CCR NOVAs drop to 4-4.

This is the first time Cougars shutout an opponent this season. The victory gets Cougars back on the winning track after a tying their last game.

Coupled with a loss in their previous game CCR NOVAs is now on a two game slide. This is the third time CCR NOVAs failed to score against an opponent this season.

This was the first meeting between these two teams.

Next up for CCR NOVAs is Greyhounds (4-3). That game is scheduled for May 13 2010, 21:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

Cougars will face off against Acid Reign (3-5) on May 10 2010, 21:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

CCR must have gavin up their season after the Rejects smashed them last week!!

it could have been worse. CCR`s offenes got completely shut down.

looks like some drama over in the east now for that 4th spot. key match up when hollywoooooood and the hounds play ccr next week. i`m sure bun b will be waiting for the autopost. haha

CCR lose your coach, he`s NO help to y`all...really!! Guy just walks up and down the field with his hands in his pockets, with NO CLUE of what he`s saying. Look at the teams that don`t have a "Flag Football Coach" and how good their playing.

Every team has at least an organizer if not a coach. Many coaches also play, but some don`t.

CCR`s coach managed to coach them to a nationals championship game and an "A" state championship game - both games they lost to a team with a non-playing coach.

So, while that style is not for everyone, it does produce results given the right personnel.

In CCR`s case they are still rebuilding the team.

based on some of the calls in the game last night the commish isnt the only one with a soft spot for CCR.

Where did the D-1 athletes on CCR play?

Shay is the coach for CCR, he and Tom run fairfax and the sunday leagues together.

I`ve played in both leagues a long time and both of those dudes are good guys and have done a lot for flag football.

Back in the day CCR use be a tough team but they just are an average B team at best, looks like time finally caught up with them.

NO most of us played in the 70`s, but we still have fun even when we get spanked....lol

CCR was always a class team back in the day. Shay is a good dude and the team always competed hard. But what they have now.... I dunno. Now more smack talking and yelling at each other than anything.... entertaining, but useless...

but they`ve gone down hill. they still have some good dudes but they`ve got more idiots and trash talking fools then ever before, and it doesnt take but a couple of the latter to make a team look bad
