With absolutely nothing going on in the Sunday leagues for about a month, I`m bored and figured I might as well break down the first round of the A playoffs today.



The Union vs Rejects - The Rejects have come on strong here of late, think of them as the weeknight version of the Rhinos, but with talent and no Locs. Wait, did I just say the same thing twice? I`m kidding big guy, don`t hunt me down and confront me face to face! Anyways, with the Dietze QB at the helm, and the addition of the loud mouth DO at WR, the Rejects have been coming on strong lately and look to be a favorite to lose to the Crown in the second round. Cruz and the Union may want to consider going back to their spread offense for this game, given the nature of the Rejects pass rush, if they don`t Van may have a hard time getting a pass off all night.  The Rejects are a 7.5 point favorite in Vegas and own a 3-1 record against The Union.  Take the `jects and give the points.



Triple Crown vs Organized Chaos - Nickleback.  Triple Crown is the flag football equivalent to Nickleback.  Everyone thinks their gay, we all get tired of hearing them, but your girlfriend loves them and somehow they just keep on turning out the wins. And with Chad Kroeger, I mean Jeremy running lead for them, NickleCrown always has a shot to win. On the other side we have Will, aka Meat Loaf and Organized Chaos. Yeah, we all know Meat Loaf has the pipes, but don`t all fat people? Can Bundy belt out a tune too? It doesn`t matter. While OC has been coming on like a Bat Out of Hell, I`m afraid TripleBack will continue to play the Hero and tell Marvin Lee and company that they can`t do the Time Warp again. Sheridan has the Canadian rockers as a 13.5 point fave, take TC and give the points.



Magnums vs CCR NOVAs - This won`t even be close guys. The N-Ova-Da-Hill gang really should be kicking themselves for not trying harder to throw their game against the Painhounds. With an AvPD of 12.8 and almost double the offensive output of the NOVAs, the Magnum boys (who else thinks they named themselves that to try and compensate for something?) are basically coming in to euthanize the Nursing Home NOVAs and move on.  Magnums cover, you know how to be this one.



7 PT Spread vs Novacaine - This might be the best game of the first round...if Cube was playing. But he`s not, and I think that makes their chances a lot like Dummy-bells` spelling, simply atrocious. The Spread is a strong team, with a lot of talent, but I can`t for the life of me figure out why the combined weight of their starting QB and Grove is more than all three of their linemen put together?! Maybe if the `caines can hand out free Big Mac coupons before the game they`d have a shot? In all seriousness though, with or without Cube the Novacaines will play the Spread close but it won`t be enough in the end. Sherri-baby has the `caines as an 8.5 point dog in this one, the `caines cover, take the points.

Exactly, if the Jects beat Union that badly and 7pt cant back up their 2nd guarantee of the year against #3 seed West (#3 seed west is weaker than #3 seed east), then they shouldn`t be allowed to talk on the messageboard anymore.

On a side note, although I`ve predicted an easy win for the Mags, this is one of the rare times we`ll have two former state champs playing each other. Might be worth going to watch.
