Novacaine tied with 7pt Spread. Dumbells, they suck and it`s proof you need Cube back to win the season. I`m for sure Magnums will punish either team next week.

Novacaine had a chance to put it away. They were up 16-9 with a little over 2 min. left and they had a FG blocked (from about the 10-15yd line). Play or two later Grove takes a slant to the house 80 yards for the tying score. Caines throw a deep ball for a pick. 7pt drives down but throws a pick in the endzone so it goes to OT. Both teams score in 1st round of OT and the lights go out right as the 2nd round starts.

Toney (#1) keeps the party going on the field (as i`m sure anybody that has played us or watch can attest). However he`s one of the more humble guys on the team. His talk is never disrespectful, never personal and always football. Dude doesn`t curse, and is one of the more religous people I know. But dumbells don`t act like he was talking to himself, Caines were jabbing back also. All good clean fun though.

I was a RB/WR in HS and College. It wasnt till D.C happy hours, Ray`s hell burger, and clydes late night HH menu that I became the Grove 2.0 version you see today.

Caines have a strong squad with good team chemistry. I`m not trying to show up for ten minutes of football though, I`m sure that feelings the same for everyone, so this OT gonna be intense.

It`s a lose lose situation.

I didn`t get to watch the game but from what I red it looks like it was a very good game from two good A league teams. Eventhough, Novacaine had the lead, 7pt Spread didn`t give up I`m the end. That`s why I agree with Locs on a point he made about fall season is better because it`s a battle every week for A league teams. Dumbells, every season you guys improve and last night shows that without Cube, Novacaine can still ball. Cody, you did a good job bringing in a good team to add on top of other good A league teams. I said that initially, because I thought the lights had clicked off at the snap or at least before the pass. The head official informed me a few minutes later that the Novacaine player had caught the ball and advanced it to about the 10 when the lights clicked - he said 2nd down from the 10 (explained that it would work the same as an inadvertant whistle stopping play). I am leaving the call up to them.

The lights actually did NOT click at the snap, however it did click of before the throw on the roll out.

It`s a tough decision that will no doubt benefit and NOT benefit somebody. However lights out in the middle of the play, seems that you`re only factoring in the throw and subsequent catch as the 2 people who didn`t stop playing. Nobody really knows who stopped and who didn`t, because even if for a brief second the shock that the lights went out was apparent to everybody on/at the field.

It is what it is, we`ll prepare for 2 and goal at the 10, we`ll hope for 1st and goal at the 20. Like i said earlier, it`s a lose lose situation. Had QB got sacked, because he stopped and everybody else kept playing, Pat knows he wouldn`t argue that everybody kept playing. But now we`re operating on the logic that because a pass was complete, "nobody" stopped playing. 16 players on the field and we`re considering 2, maybe 3 if you consider our player that pulled the flag, shorts and player to the ground after the catch.

Question PAT be honest. With the lights out had your QB threw the same pass and your WR stopped, which lead to an INT, would you still feel the same way?

the lights went out after the snap, meaning play continues until the whistle. Didnt your coach ever tell you play til the whistle? Bottom Line, the whistle stops the play (i.e. the referee) not your excuse usin ass.

Cody I look at it one way. The play started, and the play finished, it didn`t stop halfway. A pass was made, a catch was made, and a flag was pulled. Therefore, it was a play.

Now, had he caught the ball, and they called it dead right as the lights hit and his flag wasn`t pulled I`d be upset about that. BUT, we DEF kept playing, and had you sacked our QB, and we had 2nd and 30, I wouldn`t complain, same with if we had threw a pick. The play was still being played is my point. Obviously its up to the REFs and I`m not going to be upset either way cuz sometimes its harder to score from the 10 than it is the 20, redzone is no joke. So let`s just let the refs decide, and play a few mins of football and see what happens. Either way this is what playoff football is all about! Fighting to the finish...even if its a week later.

Couldnt tell you why they were "heavy" favorites. Favorites, yes, but heavy? oh wait, Grove the reason their heavy favorites.

I really don`t know what would`ve happened with Cube Boy there. I feel like him not being here the last few weeks has forced other people to step up and helped us develop as an overall team. However, I think if Chase were to come back now after we`ve had some time to develop without him, he`d be twice as dangerous. I know he wishes he could have played, the dude is the ultimate competitor and would`ve definitely been making big plays all night. The Fall should be an awesome season.

Grove`s assessment (which I`m sure will get hated on)

I think Caines and T.C are very similar. QB wise I`d give the advantage to the nickelcrowns but Caines qb is underrated. WR`s were even, and I`m sure with Cube they`d get the nod, dumbells didnt drop anything. Lineman I think the edge goes to T.C and the defensive concept was the same.

Both teams to me were similar because I think they both teams have very good chemistry. Personally I dont think T.C is as effective without their scheme (not hating, just saying)... if I had to pick I would say the caines game was more intense but thats simply because the T.C hit us in the mouth and we never really recovered. Caines lost a lot of momentum with the injury.

I think that`s a fair assessment. Our QB is underrated and has been playing great.

I`m out, got a happy hour at work, but good playing Grove and the rest of 7pt Spread, what a game...and it`s still not over! Longest damn game of my life!
