1) Yes, some teams have byes.
2) Yes, a handful have double header weeks
Its a tricky balancing act re-inserting the teams who had a game bye (pulled a game from the sched due to lack of field space) back into the schedule where they have a team bye (no opponent that week).
At the same time, I tried to accomodate each teams preferred playing nights as much as possible. Its easier to do week 5 and beyond once the second WED field kicks in.
In quite a few cases I had two teams playing who requested totally different preferred nights (i.e. team A wanted THU-TUE, team B wanted WED-MON).
For those teams who got the short end of the stick, I will make it up with the weeks 7-9 scheduling when I post that in a few weeks. |
