;	Why is it that teams do not use the Free Agent list if they are having trouble finding enough players to play (not to mention possible subs)? I have posted before and never received any responses from any teams.

;	very good question. couple of possible reasons... 1) its hard to get someone who hasnt played or practiced w/a team and get them up to speed in 15 minutes before the game 2) everyone on the free agent list was a high school all american until they show up and cant run a sub 6 second 40 3) you run the risk of being penalized if you have someone play who isnt on your roster

;	forfeits are actually pretty rare. tonight is our first ever in 5 or so years and we`ve been killed by injuries and for some odd reason we have a couple of others on vacation in october. usually the only teams that forfeit are teams that are new to the league, are 0-7, and decide to blow off their last game or two.

;	--but at the beginning of the year, have try-outs and keep those you may want. --this is silly, but the league should have a try out day that all coaches could attend...hahah

;	but at the beginning of the year most rosters are in pretty good shape. its not til October when you have business trips, pulled muscles, vacations, etc that you wish you had a few more people. Plus its a delicate balance. Our team likes to play as much of the game as possible. When you have 20 people come out and play it greatly reduces playing time to the point where its not worth the hassle. And i cant see people seriously having a tryout. But it does pose an interesting idea - could there be some kind of a pool of possible subs? I would have loved to be able to use that tonight.
