#1-Sharks/#8-Lazy Sundae

This will be the third time in the past 3 months these teams have faced off. Back in August Lazy Sundae won 14-7 and just last week the Sharks won 21-14. The Sharks have won the division I championship 2 years in a row now and are looking for the 3-peat. With new personnel at a few key positions they have still maintained the intensity. Going into the season I had Lazy Sundae down as a possible contender for the division I title but their QB going down early in the season put a damper on that.

In theory this game should be no contest. The Sharks are the superior team but a 7 point win over Lazy last week is not too convincing. Add to that that the Sharks tied My Plumber and lost to Kerns and you can say they have not beaten the other top teams in division I. If there was ever a situation ripe for a major upset(I do not consider the Lions beating Novas a major upset) its tonight.

I think Lazy Sundae stays in this game as long as the Sharks allow them. The Sharks will score because Lazy Sundae cannot stop anyone. If the Sharks lean on that #2 ranked defense and play every series like the score is 0-0 they will have a 14 point win. If the Sharks play too conservative on defense and this escalates into a scoring frenzy we could see a down to the wire finish and possibly a major upset.

I expect this game will unfold in the most likely scenario. Look for the Sharks to show up with their playoff game mentality and keep the ball in Lazy Sundae territory most of the game. Lazy will score in the second half but that`s it. Sharks 21-7.
