Let me start off by saying, after last night`s performance, I may have to retire from picking games. I went only 1-3, getting only the Webb game. Let`s hope tonight goes a little better. Congrats to Banditos and Gang Green for pulling off the 1st round upsets. It`s good to see that all the games were relatively close battles. Let`s look ahead to tonights action as we close out the 1st round with some great weather:

Invequity vs. Potomac
Invequity is our only undefeated team this season with a 9-0 record. They have played in a number of close games, but have always found a way to get the W. Potomac finished the season with 2 wins and seemed to have trouble putting points on the board. But, this is the playoffs and anything can happen. Unfortunately for Potomac, I think Invequity`s top ranked defense shows up tonight.

Helltown vs. 5 Year Plan
Helltown finished 6-1-1 with a tie in their first game and close loss against Vienna Inn. We never did get to see the much anticipated match-up against S&S. 5 Year Plan managed to pickup 3 victories all against the bottom 3 teams in the league. I think Helltown`s quick WR`s will be too much for the 5 Year Plan defense.

Spalding vs. Punishers
Spalding comes into this game with a 7-2 record with a close loss to MAC Daddies and blowout to Invequity. Can they take care of an opponent they should defeat? Punishers finished 4-4 losing to 4 of the top teams in the National Division by a combined score of 89-10. They started the season going 3-0. Can they bounce back and make a run in the playoffs? Unfortunately I think they`ll have to wait until next year.

Spalding 14 Punishers 7

Chuds vs. S&S
S&S comes into this game with only 1 loss on the season, an upset against Webb Construction. They are an athletic team that knows how to put points on the board. Chuds are new to the league and improved as the season went on. I think this is a case where S&S`s athleticism and experience will prove to be too much.
