This game needs to be rescheduled- as it has huge seeding implications for Spalding....

Completely agree. I emailed Tom the other day about it, but haven`t yet heard back from him.

I could not reschedule this game though I tried - there is simply no room.

If teams who haven`t showed for games would have let me know in advance I could have.

We have to schedule 2 or 3 games in blocks, and as you can see we have not had a night with 2 games and an empty slot in the last 10 game nights where all the make-ups were posted.

How is the game treated? A 0-0 tie? Why wasn`t the game played in the first place?

Vienna Sausages did not show up and the game would have gone in initially as a forfeit, except for Spalding agreed to replay the game if we could find room to reschedule it according to their schedule. We could not.

We got f*cking hosed this season. First, there was ONE SINGLE night when a bunch of our guys were out of town, and the schedule just happened to get changed so that we had our DOUBLE HEADER that night (up until mid afternoon that day, I still thought we were going to be able to scrape together 8 guys). By the way, when the schedule was first put out, we did not have a double header that night -- our double header was later in the season.

Then, last night in our tie game we have first-and-goal on the 1 yard line, a good FG kicker, and 37 seconds left in the game. We ran one play, were in the huddle to run one more play before kicking the FG (if necessary), and the official turns back to us and said "THAT`S GAME!" ...and we now end in a tie.

WTF!? I mean, since there`s not a clock we can actually look at (like "real" football), the officials should make more of an effort to keep everyone in the know about how much time is left on the clock. They knew DAMN FRIGGIN WELL what the situation was. What is the point in not informing us that the clock was getting close to expiring???

So, here we are. We only actually got to play five games. Our only two actual losses on the field were our first two games -- to the Sharks (undefeated and in first place in their division) and Vegas Nights (first place in their division)... But we are looking at a possibility of going into the C playoffs!?!

One last thing... I want to say thanks to Spalding for at least being willing to reschedule the game. Those p*ssy losers Kearney and Company couldn`t wait to take a forfeit win. I can understand why (they suck), but did they really drop $900 to take forfeit wins? I guess so.

"VS #2",

1) Your double header was never rescheduled.
2) Your coach emailed me at 7:20 PM on game day to say you were not showing.

Don`t blame the league for this.

Actually....

Actually the Sharks are not undefeated anymore, they lost last night 13-14 to the Replacements.

Well, I don`t have the original schedule to cite, but I do distinctly remember looking at the schedule after our week-1 game got rained out and thinking to myself, "wo, they changed the schedule." I`m not going to debate it because I`m not 100% certain, but I am pretty sure the the schedule changed after it was originally posted (not counting make-up games).

> 2) Your coach emailed me at 7:20 PM on game day to say you were not showing.

I am the VS coach. And yes this is true. I was still trying to get enough guys up until then. That was the time that I finally gave up. I apologize to the league, and to Spalding. But the reason I contacted you was so that you could contact the other coaches and hopefully save them the effort of driving to the field.

> Don`t blame the league for this.

It may have sounded like I was blaming the league for this, but I think my frustration from the bull$hit that happened on the field last night was/is just carrying over into this. You are correct. This (us needing to forfeit these two games) is ZERO fault of the league`s. This is 100% my/our fault. It was just unfortunate for us that we happened to have a double-header this particular night.

[By the way, Tom, I`m posting this here because I emailed you but my email bounced back with a message saying "The recipient has a reject filter that matches your message (1.146)"]

You have your email set up to reject emails from me? {grin}

I know you guys are not in the habit of forfeiting games and that you did try that day to get enough guys together. Because you did email me, however late, I was able to rearrange the late game in advance - so I do appreciate that.

Not sure why your email got rejected, but I`ll check into it!
