anyone know the status of the turf fields in ffx county. Did the bond get passed, if so what fields will they be installed in and will they be ready for the spring?

that new fields will be going in, However there are other orgs slated first to use them before flag, flip side is that there may be less traffic on the fields we have now = more grass to play on.

"Did the bond get passed"

YES

"what fields will they be installed in"

Pop Tree Park, Greenbriar, South Run, Lake Fairfax and a few more.

"will they be ready for the spring"

No, but ECL has been done for some time and Wakefield#5 will be ready - we`re hoping to get both for the Spring and will find out shortly after the New Year.

Its good news for the Fall though, because even if we do not get on those fields, we`ll have access to better grass fields.

There are several private groups (soccer, of course) also converting fields at their own expense ($750-$900K per field).
