To anyone who played at Herndon last night, how were the field conditions?

Bad

;
bad lights, lots of rocks, poorly painted lines -- sidelines not even close to straight, the endzone had a couple different lines which caused confusion. just a bad field.

however, it was dry.

the lines drawn in the endzone and the cone placement did create confusion. the cones were like 2 yards outside the lines.

worst field

Does everyone else agree the Herndon field is the worst one in the league? Tom, is there any chance we can switch the semi-final and final games to a different field?

Beware of sprinklers

Watch for the sprinklers on the sideline near the McDonalds. We got a shower just after the game ended.

greenbriar is by far the best field to play on...I guess thats why A and B leagues play there mostly.

agreed....the lines from a previous soccer game threw everyone off, especially in the endzone....some pretty nasty rocks out there too.....I vote for a change of venue

Herndon Fields are Fine. If there is any improvement to be made, it would be to re-paint the lines.

Um, I don`t know how Wakefield is -dry-, but the one time we played out there was far from a good experience. One half of the entire field was best described as chocolate icing. No traction at all.

Herndon works for me, personally.

All field permits except for Herndon expire this weekend.

We`re trying to get EC Lawrence instead for next week, but if not the games have to be at Herndon.

Your doing a good job Tom, guys are just venting..

We arent venting, just being honest, the Herdon field has absolutly no grass on it, is painted, and has poor lighting...

I took these pics last night:

To say Herndon "has absolutly no grass on it, is painted, and has poor lighting..." is a bit of an exaggeration. Herndon is no worse than the Pop Tree fields (which we used to use but are now closed early) this time of year. Its been wet the last few weeks and all sorts of leagues have been plugging in their rainouts on all County fields. ALL fields took a beating this Fall.

We`re also putting double lines down this weekend - again with weather lines fade quicker.

Tom - we all appreciate all that you do. Some people just don`t realize all the work you guys put in to make this league run so well. Also, some people like to comment/gripe about things before they know all the facts.
