Who won Entourage vs. Taproom?

Answer

;
Entourage won 14-6, seems they got everything back together and could possibly be back on the winning track.

of course...

entourage is on the winning track. the rest of their schedule is easy. not sure if they can make it far in the playoffs.

Tap Room isn`t good and dominated the entire first half...

what i`ve noticed is that there are 4 top teams in B - greyhounds, renovators, alehouse, and CC. alot of the midlevel teams think they`re good but havent beaten anyone of substance. entourage is a prime example.

entourage, entourage, entourage. why does everything have to be about entourage!?

gray hounds didnt look like much agasint Alehouse last night (i am NOT on alehouse). so either gray hounds havent played much or alehouse def was solid ... they were great flag pullers

grayhounds are good but i was surprised they were undefeated. i`m guessing it was a mix of a few breaks and a strength of schedule thing.

Nothing was said about Entourage dominating, they just said that they won 14-6 and it looks like they may be back to winning again.

So Coach, I see you have CC listed as a top team. I won`t argue with that. However, they did play to a 14-14 tie and a 7-7 tie to two "midlevel teams that think they`re good."

With you having made those statements, which are you most certain of? A) That CC is one of 4 tops teams in B group or B) Mid-level teams think they`re good but really aren`t?

Maybe it`s just me but if you have both statements as true, then you have a contradiction. I`m just looking for clarification.

Allow me to explain further...if A) is true, then B) has to be false as they were competitive enough to play to a tie.

So if B) is true, then A) has to be false as a tie is basically viewed as a loss to a top team like CC.

i definitely think CC is top 4 for a combo of reasons. i`ve seen them play. they know how to score. the blew out a decent Sausages team. from what i`ve read they should have beat the Magnums. sometimes you dont get the breaks and games are short enough where the game may not be a true indicator. i think they would kill entourage. alot of the midlevel teams havent beaten anyone good. look at the blazers, they were near .500 and got smoked last night by a sub .500 Cougars team.

we did get smoked - we have to make some major changes - we are not playing well at all

summary

;
top 4 wins most of the time
next 8 50/50
last 4 lose most of the time

you`ll never know who`s going to win if the middle 8 plays each other.

for the final four i think we`ll see 2 teams from 1st-4th seed, 1 team from 5th-8th seed and 1 team from 9th-12th seed.

Cougars are a feisty bunch. They`ve played some of the better teams tough.

keep in mind the top 4 teams get a bye. that being said, 3 of the current top 4 make the semi`s, and one of the 5-9 teams. nobody below 9 has enough to win 2 straight playoff games vs higher seeded reams.

i would assign d-unit and the blazers to the 15 and 16 spots, respectivly. if only becuase they won`t knock it off with the "bad calls," "mistakes," and general lack of "clicking" talk. as if each of these elements are exclusive to their games and teams only... duh...

the truth - Blazers

Any team can win B. Nobody is that much better than anyone else. The truth is we had grayhounds the first game and only tied andes alehouse because we shanked extra point. I have seen most of the top teams play. Playoffs is up for grab. My prediction is the most organized and disciplined team will win it all - so beware of the middle teams

I agree with SE Jerome. You people are sad. You are wasting all your time on a message board about FLAG FOOTBALL. Not to mention its B-League. Wow. I am willing to bet that 90% of postings come from kids riding the pine. I am obviously in the other 10%.

Preview - Rankings

Oct 13, 2006
11:01 AM
;
1. Renovators - Are probably the team with the most momentum right now. They have lost one game (to grayhounds) on a last second play and since then have bounced back to go on a 5 game tear. On this 5 game winning streak the only close game they have played is against Andes Alehouse. Renovators are the highest scoring offense in the league. Exect Renovators to win against Sausages, and it could be an interesting matchup in the final week vs. Magnums.

2. Christ Central - This is the only team without a loss, but have played to 2 tie games against opponents with less talent. CC has the 2nd Ranked offense and 1st Ranked defense in the league (with 2 shutouts). Expect CC to win their remaining 3 games and they should have the best point differential to finish 1st in the final league standings. There are question marks in regards to their strength of schedule, which is why they are ranked #2.

3. Grayhounds - After going 6-0 to start the season, grayhounds were humbled this week in a blowout loss to Andes Alehouse. This should be just the wakeup call grayhounds need as they finish up the regular season. This is a team full of athletes, but as they found out this week, they must come prepared to play week in and week out. Expect grayhounds to win their final two games against Taproom and D-Unit, although D-Unit could give them a little trouble. If grayhounds win their final two games, they should probably finish 2nd in the standings behind CC and in front of Renovators (since they have the head to head vs. renovators).

4. Andes Alehouse - They got off to a rocky start with 2 ties to teams they should`ve beat, and then a loss to renovators, but showed resiliance in the way they`ve won the last 3 games. In the last 3 games they have beaten 3 playoff caliber teams in decisive fashion. Their final 2 weeks will be against scrappy teams who are fighting for their playoff lives. Don`t be surprised to see a letdown after a big win against Grayhounds, but I think AA still pulls off the victories to finish the season in 4th place.

5. Magnums - This has been a tale of 2 seasons for the Magnums who started off 0-2 against beatable teams. Their big turnaround came in a 14-14 tie vs. Christ Central. From that point on, the Magnums have gone on a 4 game winning streak including 2 shutouts. The only knock on the Magnums is that they have beaten one team with a winning record (Entourage at 4-2). If they can beat the Blazers and get an upset win over Renovators, there`s a chance the Magnums could sneak into the 4th spot and earn a 1st round bye. There is also the chance that they could drop both games and be out of the playoffs altogether. I expect the Magnums to finish the season with a win and a loss and will remain in the 5th spot.

6. Vienna Sausages - This team started the season on a strong note going 3-0-1, and very well could`ve been 4-0 if it wasn`t for a tie against D-Unit. They are currently on a 2 game losing streak with a heartbreaking 1 point loss to Ballers (when a 2 point conversion failed) and a crushing loss to CC. They still have 3 games left and must bounce back if they hope to make the playoffs. They have a tough game vs. Renovators and then two winnable games vs. Entourage and Drama. I expect Sausages to finish the season with 2 wins and 1 loss.

7. Entourage - This is another team that started hot with a 3-0 record before dropping to straight shutouts to CC and Magnums. They were able to bounce back last week against Taproom. I expect another win this week vs. Drama before two tough games against Sausages and Cougars. Entourage will make the playoffs but will most likely be in the 7th seed.

8. Cougars - Cougars are a team that has won the games they should`ve won and lost the games they were expected to lose. All their losses have been decisive with the exception of the Grayhounds game. They are coming off a big win against the Blazers and now must face two tough opponents. Chuds are riding a 2 game winning streak, and Entourage is trying to bounce back. I expect Cougars to finish with a loss against the Chuds and a win vs. Entourage.

9. Ballers - What really hurt this Baller team was a loss to start the season against Taproom (along with a 2 point loss to Entourage). This team might have the toughest finish of the season, with games against CC and Andes Alehouse. Expect Ballers to finish with 2 losses and 1 win to go into the playoffs at 4-5.

10. D-Unit - Every game this season has been close for this team. They have a lot of athletes, but have not executed as well as they would like. D-Unit MUST win the next 2 games in order to make the playoffs before facing a tough finale against Grayhounds.

11. Blazers - This team will sneak into the playoffs with an earlier tie against Andes Alehouse helping them out. Blazers started off the season with a close game against Grayhounds, a tie vs. Andes Alehouse, and a win against The Union. The loss to Drama really hurt them as well as the current two game losing streak. They will play a close game with the Magnums (as they have in the past), and should beat Taproom.

12. Chuds - This team has really come on late in the season. They started the season 0-5 with all losses coming in close games. They are currently on a 2 game winning streak and will need to win 1 out of their last 2 games, which won`t be an easy task as they face Cougars and Andes Alehouse. Chuds may have the best o-line and d-line in B League, but it`s the skill positions that need to continue to play well. They will win 1 of the next 2 games to squeek into the playoffs by beating Union on point differential.

13. Union - They are currently sitting in at 10th in the standings but face two tough contests to close out the regular season. A key loss earlier to Blazers have put them in a tough position. It`s simple for Union, Beat D-Unit and you will make the playoffs. A loss to D-Unit will force a needed upset over Christ Central in the final week. I see D-Unit getting a close win and Christ Central winning to force Union out of the playoffs.

14. Drama - Have played some close games to good teams, but a loss to Big Pimpin hurt them. They still have a slim shot to make the playoffs and must win their remaining 2 games.

15. Taproom - with 3 games left it is possible Taproom can scramble to get 2 wins and stay in the playoff hunt, but unlikely.

16. Big Pimpin - They finish up the season with 2 tough opponents. They will not beat CC, and could play the Ballers close.

That is a solid Preview Power Rankings. You are definately right...Andes did get off to a rocky start. Comming fresh out of the gates without much practice, the first few weeks were a learning experience for the new team. As of now, we have settled in with a Place Kicker, and the Offensive Coordinator has made nice adjustments while Defensive duties have been handed off and the Defensive is beginning to click and stiffen up. Last nights game (10/19) was solid for Ale House, now its about comming to play next week, I look forward to the playoffs, it should be exciting.
