I spoke to a ref today from the Kearney/JJ game and he told me JJ`s had a 1 point lead, 1st down wit 1:30 and Kearney had used all their TOs and JJs faked a kneal play and throw a long TD to pad tha score. if that rumors true you guys are b!tches for rubbing it in like that. you dont see pros or college doing that. its poor sportsmanship. not even spurrier would pull that sh!t. you`re cowards

JJ`s seem to be very immature and foolish. If they indeed faked a kneel down, under those circumstances, that is cowardly and shows bad sportsmanship, Along with all of the self proclaimed hype on this message board.

JJ`s, take a hard look at this message board.
Imagine if you took out every post that had "JJ`S" in it and replaced it with "OTHER TEAM"

How would you feel about said "OTHER TEAM"?

It`s a wonder why everyone on this board hates on you! Heck can even read any regular post without some monkey a$$ JJ chiming in about how great they are...

Get over yourselves!

Watching that game, that dirty ish almost bit the JJ`s in the @$$, Kearney moved the ball to about the JJs 40 yard line with some nice passing and getting out of bounds. Nice catch by one of their receivers during that drive. They threw a hailmary with about 2 seconds remaining, but to no avail. Actually a pretty exciting game. Couple of deep plays by the JJs, a kick return by kearney, JJs doing that dirty ish on the fake kneel, then Kearney almost getting the hailmary.

That`s foul!

If your going to show act sportsmanship then do it! Don`t use an act of sportsmanship to pad your stats. You may get away with it C, But in B or A it won`t fly! Step up your game. Your team has lost all respect with that Sh@$T! I hope you face Kearney in the playoffs, because they know now how to beat you!

I dont agree

Although I would be pissed if I were the other team point differential does count and what happened to play all 40 min. and until the whistle blows on every play.

Ahh...

Point differential DOES count, but you can go about i the RIGHT way. No need to fake a kneel down and throw a bomb. Run your regular offense. No team is going to take offense to another team continuing to score if they are doing it in a respectable manner.

We told the No Talent Newbies we needed the points so we lined up in or regular offence and gave them a chance to defend them selves. Come playoff time look for A, B+ and B to be gunning for JJ`s

quit crying and play every down, someone said the pro`s and college don`t do it, Miami (Marino) faked a ball spike to stop the clock and hit a tight end for a td pass in the endzone...not the o`s fault D isn`t reacting on every down...

wait a minute tonto. Faking a spike when you`re trying to win a game is completely different than faking a kneel down when the game is already in hand. The Marino logic doesn`t fly here.

Yeah, plus i think the Marino play was at halftime of a close game. That`s heads up. If JJ`s does that at HALFTIME then hats off to a great play. That`s not the *alleged* issue here. We haven`t even heard JJ`s defend themselves yet.

LOL, I got this from the Dallas Cowboys website. It talks about the Eagles/Cowboys rivalry. I guess this DOES happen in the league, but the connotation is it was used to exact "revenge". Sounds like a dirty play to me!!!

1987 series: These two games during the NFL`s infamous strike season offered a prime example of Ryan`s famous temper. The Eagles` head coach was irritated that Cowboys head coach Tom Landry, who had assembled a better cast of strike players during the replacement games, called a reverse during the Cowboys` 41-22 blowout win over Philly. Two weeks later, both teams met again after the strike ended for a regular-season game in Philadelphia, and Ryan exacted revenge near the end of the Eagles` 37-20 win. After Cunningham took a knee twice with the Eagles leading 30-20 in the final minute and the ball near the Cowboys` end zone, Cunningham faked a kneel-down the third time only to rise and fire a rub-it-in touchdown pass to intentionally run up the score.

Thank you!

No need for them to defend themselves, they had the game won, and they added a few more points to the final score, so instead of
14-13, it was 21-13. I guess the extra score was to make it look like they handled us easily. But they will tell you themselves that they had to play very hard. They may make an excuse that they had to play 2 games. or whatever they may say. all i have to say is payback is a b!tch

i`m not a member of the team(s) involved, but do you all have similarly strong feelings about the "hidden ball trick" in baseball? that trick is kind of in the same family, and frankly, i wish people would do it more oftern. it`s a riot (i.e. good showmanship if not good sportsmanship).

There`s nothing funny about trying to make your team look better than what they really are. Yes you should be alert every play but its like adding insult to injury. The game was already won. Why try to make them look like clowns. Unless there was serious trash talking going on then they deserve it but past that no need for it. Give them there props on a game well played and keep it moving.

Hey baby, it`s all good. Our team isn`t bitter about the loss. We take it as a learning experience. We`ll just come out next week and try to get a W and turn our season around.

Fellas if you`re down by 1 point with 1minute 30 seconds left, the game is not over. Why not try to get a sack or an interception. Sounds to me like Kearney gave up. Not JJ`s fault. Don`t get me wrong it was a b!tch move but the game isn`t over til its over. Hopefully all of us can learn from that mistake.

Alright, I play for the JJ`s and even before our games on Monday. We decided as a team NOT to post on this and to let our playing on the field do the talking. We WERE going to kneel it, but the ref told us to run one more play to give the other team a chance for an interception or something along those line. so we did exactly what the referee told us to do. we NEVER faked a kneel down, and we ran the play as a regular play from the beginning of it. Our quarterback saw someone open and threw them the ball resulting in a TD. Us scoring was a stupid move on our part because it gave the Kearney`s the ball back with time left on the clock and a chance to score and tie it. So everybody say what you want about us but some of you do get a little excessive in exaggerations about games. Let`s leave the talk off the message boards, stop complaining and play some clean football boys.

Isn’t the message board designed for talk? Hints the name message board. I respect you speaking up for your team. Someone needed to. If that’s the way it went down then I guess we all have it wrong. If someone from the Kearney’s can confirm this that should squash the whole thing.

I can confirm as a member of the JJ`s that is the way it went down. While I do not agree it was a dirty play, the team made a bad decision in that we could have possibly lost the game instead of a win. You NEVER take away a win. It was an in-house issue, having nothing do with higher scoring or rubbing it in - it was just a bad choice, but not an unfair play - and it was taken care of. I know we have a target on our backs, but much of the hype of the JJ`s is created on this message board and not by our actual players talking $hit. We are there to play hard and hopefully win some games. Nothing more, nothing less.

I meant trash talk and dirty talk. Not general talk. I hardly ever bother looking on here cause all it is is a few people bashing teams or players. It gets a bit ridiculous. We aren`t going out there to humiliate teams or players. It`s not our style. As the Kearney Coach said, it`s a learning experience. I don`t see what the big deal is to the rest of you. It was a game between us and Kearney and it was well played on both sides of the ball.

Everyone who sits around and post crap on this all day its good to see you all work hard. VA-JJ`s are 5-0 enough said, the season is just a tune up for the ship so everyone just play the games and play to win. Sportsmanship is giving the other team there flag back, running a play with time left on the clock scoring a touchdown with a minute plus and letting the team score is your teams fault. Good luck and may the best team win it all. I am done here...

no one from our team every said that is was a dirty play, they scored and gave us a shot. simple as that. the game was already won and all they had to do was kneel it to finish, but they scored so what. a loss is a loss, a win is a win (1 point or 8 points) the ref however didn`t tell them to try and throw an interception or anything like that to give us a chance, i never heard that. whoever caught the ball beat our man deep and they scored, there was no fake kneel, or anything like that.

JJ`s aren`t leading the divison in points anyway! Let them get their points however they want. Straight up or not. Still a lot of football to be played. Kearney needed to put them away if the had a chance, they didn`t. Next games plz!
