2 and 0 and a combined score of 51 to 0 (against two pretty good teams)? Are they that good?

Interesting

And you wonder why there were complaints of them moving down when they made the A playoffs last Fall. A bunch of BS if you ask me.

Been good and lucky. No mistakes. But again, Larrys didn`t pick the division they are in.

Same team?

The problem is that soooo many teams totally reinvent themselves. The NOVA`s look totally different, for instance. If Larry`s is the same team that played in the Spring, then B+ is the correct place for them. They are experienced, but slow and easily "out-athleted"/pretty easy to throw deep on. As always, they tend to be one of the classiest teams around...

Everyone else who wanted the B+ league that really did not have the talent to move-up gave Tom honest answers about their teams propects so that a B+ league could be formed. It appears that one team has revised there statement and collected a coalition team of Larry`s and the Rhinos. It is hard to beat eaither of these teams much less the combination of both. We have played this bunch in the Bark Bowel as the Rhinos and in a League game as Larry`s. We have also played both of these teams in past years and have yet to beat either one of them. Both times this year they shut us out and beat us badly. I mean badly. This is not about getting beat, it is about misrepresentation of the team you are going to field to the league so that you can play down to win all of your games. Look at the other post from a ways back and make you own judgements.

Get a life people..Battiston doesn`t make the schedules and divisions..

Apparantly the "A" league can`t have 20 teams so they made a "B+" League..

Don`t blame us..

Yeah as B leaguer who played against Larrys I think it stinks that "no talent newbies" gets into the A League ahead of Larry`s or a couple of other A Leaguers.

I like the A this year it looks good. Larrys does not belong in A there is only one team there they might beat and thats the non-talent newbies,,,maybe. Truth be told I think they should combine the A and B+ and make all you scared ****es play the A teams.
I see Macdaddies are back in A they could surprise some people keep an eye on them. I would bet you will see them finish above 500. Coyotes should be alot better there second year.

Before you get your panties in a knot and hand them the crown how did the Larrys do against the B+ teams this past Spring? 1-1 is not domination and they were 0-2 against the A leaguers.

This has got to be the big mouth punk Banditos crying since they are the one team the Larrys simply owns.

We been in this league for over 10 years..We have won and we have lost. Our team is different every season. We may not even field 8 players this fall..

The teams we have played year in and year out don`t give a sh&@ about what league we play in and we don`t care either.

You act like we go 10-0 every season..We obviously don`t, but we do contend for the playoffs because we leave it all on the field rather than here on the messageboard!!

It`s Flag Football!! GET A LIFE!! STOP CRYING!!

Unlike you young, trash talking punks, we hang on by the seat of our pants every year and are fortunate enough to field a team every week..Yet we love the game and the competition. Those of you we have played over the years know where I am coming from.

Love us or Hate us, we always offer a fair and competitive game. Most "A" teams that beat us can admit they were given a run for there money, even if the score doesn`t show it..

We are old, we are slow, but we love the game..

Well

Doesn`t take away the fact that you should remain in A.
What me worry?

4:50 PM subject: re: ALL TEAMS DROP DIVISIONS LIKE LARRYS

Enough. If they were a BS team you would not be talking, obviously they bring some competition to the table otherwise everyone would not be crying about it. And if you are looking to skate through the league with no competition then go somewhere else and play. Play the game and stop talking.

Once agian..some one brings the banditos into these matters...believe me..we could care less what league Larrys goes in..we are just happy to have a chance to play them again. Whoever "hold It" is out there, give it up brother. My hunch is that you`re the one talking all the trash and then trying to pin it on another team.

This is not my fight as I am not playing with the Larrys, but the Rhinos and Larrys have not combined teams. To clear up a few misconceptions that S&S has:

1) There was not one player from the Larrys who played with the Rhinos in the 2006 Bark Bowl (the Larrys were busy playing in the other tourney on the same day).
2) There is not one player from the Larrys playing on the Rhinos this fall in the IFFL.
3) We could not field a team in the weeknight league, so four of our guys are playing with our friends the Larrys in the Fairfax County league. I will leave it up to others to debate if this is "fair", but I know they are not the only ones playing on a separate IFFL and Fairfax County team and that this does not violate the rules of either league.

Good luck to all this season.

Bottom Line

Sep 15, 2006

Larrys made the A playoffs last year and by that alone they were not supposed to be allowed to move down, according to what the rules were.

What are the rules (written or unwritten) for teams moving up from B to A (and vice versa)?

Come on now, if a team makes the “A” playoffs the year before. Then moves down to the “B” League the following year, it’s only because they want to win. Now how much that championship really means is something that they have to ask themselves. I personally don’t find any satisfaction something like that, but to each their own. No need to hate. They just want to win baby!

Opinion

Steven S&S:
It appears that is is your opinion that the other teams in the B+ division do not have a chance of beating the Larrys which I personally disagree with. There are some very talented teams in the the B+ division that can compete with any team on any given night, i.e., Webb Construction, Scrubs, Titans, Wolverines, Banditos, and more. All of the mentioned teams have either won the B league themselves in the past or been in the Final Four during the Spring league. And as you can see, they are still playing in the B league...rather the B+ league. Maybe it is not the Larrys who are in the wrong division, maybe it is S & S who is in the wrong division; just an opinion.

I think the teams are very close in talent and organization across the board in all divisions. The comishs did a great job putting teams in the correct level and should make for a great season and playoffs if the weather cooperates.

Just to set the record straight here, this is the league policy as stated on the registration page (back when it was up):

"Teams in B or C from the 2005 Fall season who finished as either a division winner, or
made it to the playoff semifinals of their level must move up to the next level for the Fall 2006 season."

Most A teams do not want to move down, and we will not prevent those that want to move down from doing so. The Larrys did not finish as the division winner, nor did they make the semifinals in A last year, plus they finished with a losing record and were the 7th seed out of 8 teams in the playoffs and were knocked out in the first round.

About the 4 B semifinalists last year and division winners? they all did move up, (aside from Invequity) to the new B+ division. If not for the B+ division, S&S, Webb, Banditos, and Carpe Diem would all be in A.

We created the B+ division because having 4 levels of play balances out the competition much better than having 3.

Invequity, after an undefeated season last year in B and then winning the Spring B championship (FCFFL) was moved to A.

Also, in response to another incorrect assertion out there, we did not force the Larrys to move down.

To summarize, playoff semifinalists and division winners from C, B (and now) B+ must all move up to the next level. There is no explicit policy governing moving down, we handle those on a case by case basis by communicating with those coaches.

My two cents. Coach of Larry`s told me that the main two reasons that we are playing in the B+ league is because prior to the last minute addition of 4 or 5 players, it looked like the team would have fielded a total of eight or nine players at best. With that said and the past experience of one or two players not showing up for each game for various reasons, he felt it was best not to play in the A league. In addition, he wasn`t sure if they had a quarterback. Fortunately, all came together and we play with what we have and what league we`re in and look forward to playing in the A league next year. Win, Lose or Draw.

question?

Sep 19, 2006
2:38 AM
;
There seems 2 be alot of concern about the larrys team. Are u concerned because u play in the B+ div and fear having 2 face them?...and if u`re in the A div, then what does it matter 2 u? All said and done, everybody bring their "A" game and put 110% out there on the field and the larrys team(or any other team, 4 that matter) won`t even be and issue 2 u. Don`t be scurred!

One minute the Larry`s and the Rhino`s are old and slow, the next minute there is fowl play within the league. This is consistantly stated even though other teams have players from different leagues as well, which is perfectly legal according to the rules. So, why does every one want to cry now? Because the Larrys are winning. Plain and simple, teams are scared of the Larrys. They are a good team but they can still be beat.
