05/11 : Banditos shut out Greyhounds 14-0

Banditos improve to 6-2 on the season, while Greyhounds drop to 1-5-1.

This is the first time Banditos shutout an opponent this season. The victory continues a 4 game winning streak for Banditos which now stands at 5 wins in a row.

The loss puts Greyhounds further off the winning track after a tying their last game. This is the second time Greyhounds failed to score against an opponent this season.

These teams are very familiar with one another, having now played 5 times. Banditos has now won the last two matchups. Their previous contest occured in a Fairfax County Flag Football League "B" playoff game Nov 10 2010, 20:30, which Banditos won 13-7. Overall, Greyhounds is 3-2 against Banditos.

Next up for Greyhounds is The Penetrators (1-3). That game is scheduled for May 18 2011, 20:30 at Arrowhead Park#3.

Banditos will face off against Badboyz (3-5) on May 16 2011, 22:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

;	-We got the ball first and scored on the 2nd or 3rd play on a long pass then pitch. 7-0 -Greyhounds drive down and miss their fg attempt -We score on the first play 14-0 -Greyhounds run out of time Halftime -Greyhounds turnover on downs -We drive and throw a pick in the endzone after a couple tips -Greyhounds turnover on downs -Under two minutes so we sit on it. We only had like 10 plays on offense the whole night. Good game Greyhounds. @ annoying- there are plenty of teams in this league that go to church. We`re just not one of them.

;	I love how you A teams act like you are so great. I watched the first part of this game and the Greyhounds suck, they wouldn`t win B league. They`re slow as ** and their QB holds the ball too long. The Banditos aren`t much better, they scored on a long pass blown coverage and a missed flag pull and then didn`t do **. Their defense is soft, they give big cushions and let the Hounds move the ball all the way down the field. Not impressed

It`s not our fault if the other team gave up long plays. You`re right we don`t have any `superstar flag football` players, but we are a solid TEAM and play hard and have more playmakers then people realize. We did let the Hounds move the ball more than we would have liked, but Hollywood is more elusive then people give him credit for on this board and is able to buy his receivers time to get open. You know what they say. If you don`t have haters, you`re not doing anything right.

If you all were that great you would be crushing teams like the Greyhounds.

;	Who said this teams come in here claiming there the best of the best (well Spartans did) however, no other A leaguer jumps on the here claiming there the "best" so your wrong on your point. As a B leaguer myself, I know that the level of play is in A is a little more amped up from us. Yeah is doesn`t hurt to sign your team in A league and give a shot like Kdaw, but you have to know that the season games are a little different from playoffs, which is more to beat some of the better teams.

This tells me that they are solid and will win games vs weak opponents, but are somewhat untested. They`ve had a favorable schedule. It`s all about the playoffs now. They need to upgrade their hardware to compete with the better squads.
