Question about Banning

Can you warn your customers when you are going to ban them or not? Thanks.

A formal warning would be nice from the administrator.

Apparently people are getting banned just from responding/defending to the FXA discussions (Promoting was not the intent here). Some tool name Josh was trying to spread false information and the one that corrected him got banned.

F*ck FXA

Hey Will,

You are right, but since someone else started the FXA discussion (Swami). I only came in to clarify some things since there were some misinformation going around.

And yes, that person is me. I am currently using a proxy to get on this message board. Banning people by IP is cool and all but it won`t stop the truth from being told.

If you are going to delete valid posts and keep the ones that are lies and on top of that say "NO FXA DISCUSSIONS" it kind of make this league look fishy...

It would have been better if you have deleted everything IMO.

Lets be a little more mature than that though... its bad business for everyone if hes banning people for bad reasons. Its a lose - lose situation in this case.

The only posters I can identify as customers are those who log in and post. While promotion may not have been the original intent, that`s what it developed into - and why should I give you or anyone else a platform to market a competing league? I`m pretty laid back as far as policing the board, but that steps over the line. This is not the first time nor will it be the last time competing leagues have tried to use our boards to inconspicuously market thier leagues or tournaments. We cap and fill out leagues, they try to take in as many teams as possible - no quality control. You can email me if you`d like to discuss it more.

This board polices itself, I rarely have to intervene - but as stated above, that steps over the line.
