Coupled with a win in their previous game, Spartans has now won two in a row.

This was the first meeting between these two teams.

Next up for Rejects is Collision (1-4). That game is scheduled for May 12 2011, 22:00 at Lake Fairfax#4.

Spartans will face off against Badboyz (3-4) on May 09 2011, 22:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

Spartans are trash. All talk, and actually a lower level A team. They are beating the below average A teams and acting like it`s some great thing. Wow, KDAW and Rejects were beaten by the Spartans!

You can say we only beat this team or that team fine, but same teams you say we beat have beaten the top ranked teams or tied them. Plus Rejects probally put there best team this year on the field last night Carlyin was back they had good numbers we only had 9, and kicked of twice cuz we only had 7 at coin toss. We beat novacaine, loss to mags by 2pts, and TC by 5 we ran out of time on final possesion, and we loss to "robots" who beat mags. I think playoffs will be very interesting, also go check rejects have played thy"re last two opponents tough one being TC. I dont believe any team in A isn`t competive except maybe Kdaw.

Damn...lower level A team though? You sound dumb buddy...Like D.O. said, we haven`t seen a team that doesn`t bring their "A" game against us...if we were sooo bad, why do people get up to play against us?

No thats not what he means. It may just be luck of the draw when we played kdaw they had about 17 people, then week later they only have 8, rejects all year been short not last night solid 12 plus new QB its all fun you want everyones best to prepare us later.

Unless you play in A you need to stop commenting on "how good a team is". In all honesty, I get more worried about playing a team like The Rejects than some of the top teams in the division right now. Their defense is intense and they know what they`re doing.

Any A team at full strength, can beat any other A team at full strength. Watch, playoffs will prove that. These games are so short, its all about who minimizes mistakes, which most A teams do. So every game is as tough as the next.

Listen to Dumbells, if you don`t play in A shut the hell up. Everybody ****s on Collision, Kdaw, Rejects, Greyhounds, etc but fact of the matter is that no team that isn`t dumb sleeps on another team in A because they can and will get beat. A league this year is the best it`s been since the Kerns, Kilroys, My Plumber, Big Belly Canes, and all those teams were around

I`d like to see all the teams in A make the playoffs. I know injuries and other sh*t happens but I hate to see teams like the Rejects not make the playoffs. You can`t tell me that a Rejects team with Carlin at QB isn`t a top 8 team in A.

If this were a league where everybody made the playoffs, the regular season play would be diluted.

@Cody - Nah, not at all. It just means that teams that may have injury issues early in the season or teams that have new personnel now have a chance to win it all. Everything takes time to gel or bake. Over the course of 9 games in this division your margin of error is minimal. EVERY possession matters.

@Cody - Also at 4-4-1, 7 point may not make make the playoffs this year. But you did and you see what happened.

i disagree, because then you`re putting more emphasis on a "good tournament run". Then what you`ll have are teams/players that have no commitment during the regular season, then come playoffs they have 12 fresh faces. Might help them, might hurt them, but i said it dilutes the league because at that point it only becomes a "roster management league". You stack your roster, get who you can to show up, then bring all the horses out for the playoffs.

Margin of error is not that minimal, last few season the final seed has made it in with 2 wins, i`m guessing this year that magic number will be 3 (with some help). If you can`t muster 2 or 3 wins over the course of 9 games, this probably just isn`t your season.

You will get the teams that stack their roster for the playoffs. But I can assure you that they won`t win over a team that has built chemistry and cohesion throughout the season. I don`t think I`ve seen that happen in this league and it rarely, if not, happens for tournaments. Tom and I had that discussion. He`s rarely seen, if not, seen an all star team put together that wins a tournament.

Agreed, that`s why I said, may or may not work.

I`ll give an example. Collision. Anybody with a lick of common sense know they are a solid quality A league team. This year, they seem to be hampered by injuries, schedules, etc. From what I understand, the Collision we faced a few weeks ago, is not the same Collision that takes the field these days. What if they just hobbled through the regular season, kept those Wolves players on the roster, got the last seed because everybody makes the playoffs. Then come playoffs they break out an entire new team. Can they still win it all, sure. Can they still lose in rd 1, sure. However "IF" they do win it all, did they really have a formidable season or a supe`d up playoff team that made a good run? As opposed to a team that fought to make the playoff, "earned" the last seed (kinda the position they are in now), then "won" it all. Which team do you respect more?

@75cents - I know we`ll make the playoffs. Not worried about that. My point is it takes 4 - 5 games for a team to gel. And by that time sometimes your fate is already sealed. I`d like to see the teams that take that long to gel have a chance to compete in the playoffs. I`ve seen many 1 seeds lose to 10 or lower seeded teams.

Locs, It`s agreeable that it takes NEW teams time to gel. However there aren`t any NEW teams besides yours in the A league. In addition, if anybody thinks their team needs time to gel, Tom offers a B and C league for you to participate in (and B+ in the Fall). If you`re looking to gel in the A league, that`s cool and respectable, but you`re going to take your bumps and bruises along the way. FACT. So after the fact you can`t be complaining that your just got your **** together in week 8, and now you`d be a force to be reckoned with. If you miss the boat, the league will just have to feel that force next season.

*If Rejects and Collision had been healthy all season I doubt they`d be in their current positions.

@Cody - I see your point. However, I still put my money on a team that has played together all season and now has that chemistry opposed to a team that has added some players at the last minute for the playoffs. Let`s say your example occurred. Collision would still have to play a first seed. So again, I put my money on that first seed that has played well all season. And the 1 seeds that I have seen lose to a last seed is, again, a situation where the last seed just took 4-5 games to start playing well.

Respect, that`s another topic. For me honestly, I don`t care who a team brings out. I will never dispute a roster. If a team comes out to a championship game with Vick, Fitzgerald, Moss, etc., and won, my thought would be it took for them to bring Pro Bowlers to beat us. I wouldn`t have less respect for them. I always want to play against the best. That`s why were in A.

New teams aren`t the only teams that it takes time to gel. 7 point last year is one example.

Good discussion here. New teams do take time to gel, sometimes an entire season. I do believe adding league vets to a new team help with that though. Theo, do you think losing league vets like Staph and Shaggy early on hurt your cohesion? I certainly think it took away from your team`s understanding of the game as it applies to this league, and probably led to being a more penalty prone team (ie against the Magnums)

7pts played half of the season without their QB! They didnt need time to gel. So whats up with TC they loss some key players and they look like they are fine. Last year they lost in the playoffs but they had new faces so whats your point LOCS?
