05/03 : Greyhounds tie Novacaine 14-14

The tie puts Greyhounds at 1-4-1, and Novacaine at 5-1-1 for the season.

Prior to this game, these teams had met only one other time, on Sep 22 2009, 21:10, a Fairfax County Flag Football League "A" regular season game which Greyhounds won 17-7.

Next up for Greyhounds is Banditos (5-2). That game is scheduled for May 11 2011, 22:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

Novacaine will face off against Triple Crown (5-1) on May 09 2011, 21:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

;	Edward Lewis (Richard Gere), a successful businessman and "corporate raider", takes a detour on Hollywood Boulevard to ask for directions. Receiving little help, he encounters a beautiful prostitute named Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) who is willing to assist him in getting to his destination. The morning after, Edward hires Vivian to stay with him for a week as an escort for social events. Vivian advises him that it "will cost him," and he agrees to give her $3,000 and access to his credit cards. Vivian then goes shopping on Rodeo Drive, only to be snubbed by saleswomen who disdain her because of her immodest clothing. Initially, hotel manager Bernard Thompson (Hector Elizondo) is also somewhat taken aback. But he relents and decides to help her buy a dress, even coaching her on dinner etiquette. Edward returns and is visibly amazed by Vivian`s transformation. The business dinner does not end well, and Edward is preoccupied with the deal afterward. The next morning, Vivian tells Edward about the snubbing that took place the day before. Edward takes Vivian on a shopping spree. Vivian returns to the same shop that had snubbed her, telling the salesgirls they had made a big mistake. Huge. Edward tends to Vivian and tries to convince her to stay with him because she wants to, not because he`s paying her. She refuses once again and returns to the apartment she shares with Kit, preparing to leave for San Francisco to earn a G.E.D. in the hopes of a better life. Edward gets into the car with the chauffeur that took her home. Instead of going to the airport, he goes to her apartment. He climbs up the fire escape, despite his fear of heights, with a rose clutched between his teeth, to woo her. His leaping from the white limousine, and then climbing the outside ladder and steps, is a visual urban metaphor for the knight on white horse rescuing the "princess" from the tower, a childhood fantasy Vivian told him about. The film ends as the two of them kiss on the fire escape. PRETTY WOMAN

;	Good game caines... it was a good game we should have won the game. Two plays changed the game. Caines are a good team we are just starting to play better as a team as a whole. Recap- canes go down and scored on a deep post from Chase and a I believe a slant from #2. We scored twice in the red zone off a slant and a come back. We should have scored on the last drive but the ball sailed and it was good defense on a out thrown to me. Keenon aka ` Hollywood` had a hell of a game balancing the ball with run and past.

Next play, Cube scores on a 94 yard TD pass Caines stop Hounds, but cannot score before time expires in the half Greyhounds drive, score on 10 yard pass in redzone Caines drive to 5 yard line, score on rushing TD, called back for blocking downfield. Next play, interception. Hounds drive, throw pick on Caines 20 with 20 seconds left. Caines hit one pass, time runs out, 14-14. Good game to The Hounds, Hollywood made some big plays running and throwing the ball last night. We were a little rusty after the bye week, but not to take anything away from the Hounds they played tough.

;	Right now, doesn`t matter where teams are ranked because 1st can easily lose to 8th place. From last season and past history, playoffs is a whole new level of competition for the A league, which mistakes can`t be made.

;	Good game Caines...it came down to the wire with both teams having a chance to win it at the end. The post that went for 94 yards was a back breaker. Breakdown in coverage along with a perfect pass....that hurt. Good luck the rest of the season and stay healthy!

;	Good game caines, and agree with locs. Some teams including ours have been beat up on the messageboard this year but the truth is there is very little difference in teams at the top and bottom of the A division. Should be a very interesting playoffs.

;	Truth. Looks like it might have been the difference in the game, too, it happened right before the end of the half and the Caines didn`t score again. The difference between the "good" and "bad" teams in A isn`t necessarily athleticism, it`s organization and not making boneheaded plays.

;	yeah, we had a mental lapse in coverage. We had pressure on the QB, our safety got caught playing peek-a-boo in the backfield to see if we had the sack, by the time he realized the QB was still alive, Chase had beat him on a post route.

;	It was a good game. Questionable blocking penalty towards the end of the game. Hollywood balled out and so did #7. We have still never beaten the Greyhounds/Pain since we started our team.
