We got 2 additional fields which are grass, so I am going to add up to 2 teams per division, but those teams will have to play most of their games on the two added grass fields.

Right now there are 5 waitlisted teams; 2 for A, 1 for B, 2 for C, who will have until the end of the weekend to register. I will send those teams the registration link later today.

If your team wants to be added to this list - contact me through the contact page on the site (under League Info).

with all the moving parts of their team playing with the penatrators in `A` (mainly the QB), `B` is the right place for them.

probably lost a bunch of players or are rebuilding. I`m sure they are not dropping to C to build their confidence. A LONG drop from B+ two falls ago to C this spring.

The late teams should play 98% of their games on grass, not specifically because it`s grass vs turf, but if any team is going to possibly have to get their game cancelled, rescheduled, inconvienced and/or have to play on a muddy field after a day (or days) of rain, it should be the late people. Basically at no point should a game of 2 teams that signed up on time be playing on the grassy null.

Okay, sounds like a plan. So will have the mags and pens play against each other every week on the grass field for A. Chaos will get a bye every week for B because they are the only "late" addition. The will probably go 1.00 because with your logic the "on time" teams cant play on grass.

dude, re-read his post, he said that no game of TWO "on time" teams should be playing on grass, not that they won`t have to play the "late" teams on grass when they`re scheduled to.

I agree. To add these new teams there will be some games forced onto grass. Since we area allowing them to play, it is their fault there will be any grass games. Thus, they should play the majority of their games on grass.

Really....what the %#%k...you must be a P U S S Y to cry about playing on a grass. How about you log in or state your name and team, so that we all can call you a b i t c h on the grass field. Grass or turf doesn`t matter because good teams win games on either one. So is clear the team your playing for isn`t that good from all your b%tching, you know and we know. Just be happy that Tom goes out of his way to make sure we HAVE a field to play.

so are you saying that Tom called/emailed each of the teams to ask their permisson to allow the additional team in?

@Tom

Feb 22, 2011

;
You guys are so quick to be stupid. I personally don`t have any problems playing on grass (i actually prefer it). My only concern is that, with that field being an option, there are gonna be games that get canceled because of the weather, etc... and for all you scholars, when a game gets canceled, it most likely will either 1) get made up or 2) NOT. In addition, it`s the spring. It`ll probably rain at least 3 times per week, so even when the fields don`t get canceled, you`ll be playing in mud majority of the time.

As for saying Mags, Pens, Chaos, and Raw Dawgs should play all there games on grass. I stand by it. Of course all the other teams have to play against them at some point thus they`ll have to play on grass, but if any team us going to be subject to a laundry list of "possible" cancellations, make up games and mud bowls, it should be them.

to "@Tom" - can you please state your name and team? Because everything your saying doesn`t mean s*** when your being a anonymous b****. I hope that Tom let`s the late teams play on turf fields just to piss off you and the rest of them who agree with your b****a**. Then again, why you crying when you should worry about your team making the playoffs.

Football is meant to be played on grass, in the rain, or in the snow. And whos to say playing a game in mud doesnt remind you of being a kid. Gotta love playing in those games. you wont get turf burn.

its not a personal attack on you so the need to start being all tough asking for his team and calling him a b**** doesn`t help your argument rather just makes you sound like an ignorant meat head. In your post you gave no logical opinion on the matter. Just called @Tom a b**** and you hope the new teams get all the turf fields.... great. Calm down, speak logically and give points. You can`t beat anyone up on a message board special.

You all just need to shut up and find something better to do. Who the hell would want to play on grass instead of turf? It rains so damn much in the Spring, chances are if you play on grass all the time, you`re games will be more likely to be canceled, or just MISERABLE to play in. Calling people p*ssies for wanting to play on a better field is ******ed and I think you may need some anger management or intense counseling from a shrink. So to "A Leaguer" why don`t you state your name if you want to go on rants about people who don`t state theirs before you make yourself sound even stupider than you already have.

As for the rest, I don`t think late teams should have to play all games on grass, and regardless of if that`s what anyone wants, it won`t happen. There`s no reason why a team like The Magnums who have paid WAY more money to this league over the years than 90% or your weak ass squads should be subject to the ****tiest playing conditions every week. Tom will figure it out, so do something more productive with your time than B*TCH.

noone is saying that. But why wouldnt you prefer to play on a good turf field giving the opportunity?

think about it

Feb 22, 2011
3:39 PM
;
If I pay $1000 to field a team for ONE SEASON, I better be playing on a quality gridiron, that costs more to get a field permit for.

I know plenty of sh*thole leagues that play on nothing but grass, and they don`t cost $1000 for a season of play. So really, all I want is what I pay for. This is a quality league, with quality fields, and quality competition. Take away either of those factors, and it`s not worth paying out the *** to play. To all you flag football all-stars trying to bask in your high school glory and think your tough because you are willing to play on grass instead of turf, have fun. I`d rather save my money than try to prove something to you rejects.

I think the plan is for us and the other late entry teams to play our "home" games on grass. So that`s about half our season. That means every other team in the league will play on grass, at most, 2 times during the season depending on if you play both penetrators and us "away". I`m fine with us playing more grass games than the other teams because it`s our fault for not signing up sooner. But the other teams really won`t be playing much on grass. Really not that big of a deal.

If you have a problem with playing on grass or turf you should e-mail Tom or Shay. Complaining to the message board readers, like me, who find your comments entertaining does nothing to help you. Might as well add these comments in your posts:

I do not want to break a toe nail in the grass. The lights at the grass fields make me look fat. I’m a professional and get paid, so I should not have to play on grass. I promised my team that we would only play on turf - now what am I suppose to tell them?!?! I run faster on turf and my teammates will think I am slow now. My ****** is going to kill me if I get a grass stain.

Good luck to all teams and be safe out there on the fields.

I`m going to say this a few times because people don`t seem to get it when I`ve said it in the past, so please bear with me:

No, you cannot get someone`s name, phone number or specific location from their IP address.

I`m not trying to be a smart-ass or intentionally mean but please, read that sentence again. I`m trying to be as clear as I can be so that people will get the answer.

Now, you can`t do it, but the police (or law-enforcement in general) can. But for some reason people think that because the police can, anyone can. That`s just not the way it works.

Here`s what I believe it takes to track someone down by their IP address:

Contact law enforcement. If no laws have been broken or if the police don`t have the resources or interest to help you, then you can stop right here. I don`t know of anything else you can do.
The police use public information to locate the ISP who owns the IP address. You can do this yourself using the whois tool at arin.net. For example, you can look up Ask Leo!`s IP address and you`ll see that the owner of the IP is Rackspace, my hosting service.
The police then get a court order. I`m no lawyer, but the way I understand it is that this implies the police have enough evidence to believe that a crime has been committed and can convince a judge of that.
The police present the court order to the ISP who can then search their records for information relating to the specific IP address.
The ISP identifies the user of the IP address. Note that even if you get this far, depending on the type of IP address, the information provided to the ISP by the customer, and the length of time that`s passed, the IP may not be able to provide any helpful information anyway. I`d expect that typically they can, but there`s no guarantee.
