This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by Helltown Rosebuds, and the second time Helltown Rosebuds shutout an opponent this season. The victory continues a 2 game winning streak for Helltown Rosebuds which now stands at 3 wins in a row.

The loss ended a 3 game winning streak for Bootleggers. This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by Bootleggers, and the first time Bootleggers failed to score against an opponent this season.

Prior to this game, these teams had met only one other time, on Oct 20 2010, 20:00, a Fairfax County Flag Football League "B" regular season game which Bootleggers won 21-14.

;	0-0 at halftime. Hell got a big play in the second half from a blown coverage and ended up getting a FG. Hell went for a 4th down play to seal the game at the end and converted and that play ended up going for a TD...game over. Boot passed up 2 FG attempts in the first half from the 2yd line and couldn`t get a TD on either.

;	decided twice to go on 4th and goal rather than kick a field goal and both times they were stopped. when helltown didn`t get a td on 3rd and goal they kicked a field goal. both defenses played very well, it was that close. the last 6 points came from converting a 4th down with seconds left in the game. the ball was caught a couple yards shy of the 20, which was the first down line, and once the helltown player crossed the 20 the bootleggers let up since they had no more time outs.....the helltown player simply trotted into the end zone.

;	try to keep motivating your team to keep coming out and playing when you are getting demolished week in and week out...some teams enjoy playing with the guys they play with, do not want to make the necessary to upgrades to compete in A, and are content not playing in A. I would like to see A (best 8), larger B (and B+) and C in the Spring.

;	Great game Helltown. Helltowns qb, played great on defense. We didn`t let him run around us at all. We held their offense to lineman dumps all game. Just couldnt get any offense going on our side. Very good defensive effort from both teams. A league definitely has better teams, but these D1 players people speak of are playing rec flag football. It means nothing that they played at tech or any other college. There are guys from the area that walked on to D1 schools, made the NFL and have proven to be much more successful then some guys who had great highschool careers and got recruited to D1 schools. If these players were so good, they wouldn`t be in this league.

;	@peter- because Tom/Committee wants to keep the competition on a high level. Bark Bowl and Nationals you have to be in the top three or 4 in A. Take 7pt Spread who was a brand new team last season, but was invited by Tom because they where ranked 2nd in the open division and made it to semi-finals. Badboys won the B league and were invited. If your team does well in the Open than Tom will hit you with a invite to the BarkBowl. But most of the Bark Bowl teams who travel from around the states are A level teams.

;	As a true A league team, it sucks because once Tom splits the division evenly, you`ll probably pound the lower level teams. For teams from any lower division, it`s GREAT. Yes, you take the beatings from the A teams, and you`ll probably end up with a sub par record, but you learn more aobut the game. I`ve watched a few lower lever games and usually what wins games or the big plays. Against A league teams you have to know how to move the ball. Big plays and throwing it to you best player on a go route, don`t work to often. A team that benefit IMO from the Open format was, Bootleggers. A team that didn`t benefit was Bulldogs. They dominated C league (though didn`t win), then tried to play in the summer and B+, and it`s a different ball game. Had they played in the Open, they would gotten more exposed to more competition and been more prepared.

;	hell qb. I don`t think the bootleggers are going, but I think my sunday morning team might be going. I`ll definetly let you know what I`m doin. send me a message sometime, and we`ll figure this out. I`m definetly trying to be on a team for states. If more teams would play the summer season, thats the perfect time for an open format. That will let the A teams get their "practices" in for fall, and the lower teams to figure out where they could go in the fall season. If theres enough teams in spring, then keep a 3 division format. I`m not 100% but I dont think helltown was signal. Helltowns been together for a while, the coach has a jacket with the team name on it. Where`s everyone playing during the winter? I challenge people to come to Dulles Sportsplex and play indoor for the winter season. It`s a different game, but its great competition during the winter season.

;	the bootleggers and the kings are two different teams. but if your able to play winter with us, you definitely should. its a blast. bootleggers won manassas indoor last two winters. At dulles the leagues go year around, its 6 week seasons, 2 week playoffs and it starts over. if theres a lot of teams the season gets extended a little. but i`m defifnitely looking forward to states. got some friends in richmond. probably stay at their place.

;	bootleggers had some different players indoors. But the manassas league is not as good as the dulles league. and indoors is always completely different then outdoors. Because the field is so much smaller its easier for everyone to play D. You easily make fg`s from either endzone. but if you dont play in the league, dont trash talk. sign a team up at dulles and I promise to knock you on your @$$. but i`ll put money down that you wont be there.
