10/19 : Greyhounds demolish Bulldogs 34-0

Greyhounds improve to 4-2 on the season, while Bulldogs drop to 1-6.

This is the most points scored in a game this season by Greyhounds, and the second time Greyhounds shutout an opponent this season. The victory continues a 3 game winning streak for Greyhounds which now stands at 4 wins in a row.

The loss continues a 3 game skid for Bulldogs which now extends to 4 losses in a row. This is the third time Bulldogs failed to score against an opponent this season.

These teams had played each other twice prior to this matchup. Greyhounds won both of those games. Their most recent matchup was Aug 09 2010, 20:00, a Fairfax Mens Summer League "Open" playoff game which Greyhounds won 21-14.

Next up for Bulldogs is CCR NOVAs (2-2). That game is scheduled for Oct 27 2010, 22:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

Greyhounds will face off against Hokies (3-2) on Oct 28 2010, 22:00 at Braddock Park#7.

this score was posted immediately by the Greyhounds , but the NOVAS/Greyhounds game still has not been posted. Hey, when you went in to post the score why didn`t you scroll down a bit or up or whatever you do to post a score and fill in the NOVAS game?

We should have played in B. We lost our QB (D-1 QB)and a few other of our top players from the spring. We scrimmaged the bootleggers before the season with our current team and had no problem playing with them and they are 6-0 in B. There is a true difference between teams in B and teams in B+. Had we had the team from Spring, we could have held our own in B+.

Coach, what D-1 program did your old QB play for?

If you want to hang with the best....you need more then four players who play good all around. Cooke, you`re making excuses about not having your "D1" QB from "C" league last season... c`mon. I bet any team A league can beat your best without their star players. What I`m saying is that Bootleggers know where their skill level stands and made the right move to improve, same goes with Union. Your 1-6 this season...face it, you need a lot more then a "D1" QB.

clearly you are the best player in this league, and always win championships, but i disagree with what you are saying. QB is important, and if the bulldogs had a qb that was that good, I could see the difference in a team being B and B+. Union didn`t opt to go to B+. The jump from b+ to A is less significant than the jump from B+ to A, but what do I know, you probably won another championship while i was writing this.

just arent any good. I love how they talk about a preseason scrimmage to determine how they would do in a certain division. yeaaaa boooiiiiii

Look, give them some credit, they wanted to challenge themselves and compete w/the big boys. They`re one of the few teams I`ve seen in this league over the years who eagerly stepped up to challenge themselves instead of sandbagged to stay in a lower division. Yeah, they`re learning a lesson, but they`re challenging themselves.
