Just make sure no A team EVER has to play on grass. That is a privilege you get for competing at a high level.

Also if you think that field is bad you better hope you never have to play at Herndon Middle School

These young ungrateful whippersnappers...Herndon was bad but also what about that field off 495 that was a swamp whenever it rained within 3-4 days of gameday!

if wakefield was the field you are talking about, it is still that mud pit that it was once before.

back yard football is played on grass. Crappy field or not. My friends still play every year in vienna no matter what the condition of the field might be. so who cares.

Bashing hook rd on Sunday. I told him teams used to look forward to hook for the semis and championship games because that WAS the best field we had. My how spoiled some people have become.

Nice to have a field with actual goal posts. No questions as to whether a field goal is good or not.

I have to explain this every year, no problem.

As far as field allocations go - when there is not enough turf to go around, I give priority to the divisions with the longest average team participation in the league.

Once I actually did the math here for someone, but it does work out to A, B+, B, C.

So, the lower divisions are not being shoved onto a grass field because they play in a lower division: its because the average participation history is naturally shorter as you go down in division.

If you do play on a team that has been around for a while, and you are not playing all of your games on turf, its because the other teams in your division bring down the average participation history.

True, every team pays the same per season, but if you want to base allocation on financials its the same principle as participation history.

Having said all that, I did move the 2 WED B games off GB#6 for the rest of the season onto WED ECL#2 at 10:00 and BP#7 in the empty TUE slot.
