We had a great game for the East division title and #1 Playoff Seed last night between Triple Crown and 7 Point Spread. We`ll have Grove and Cody from the Spread on today to talk about last night`s game, tomorrow`s game and the future of 7 Point Spread.

Thanks for joining us Cody. For those listerners that missed yesterday`s game, it was definitely one of the more entertaining games of the season. Big plays, lots of talking and and you could see the intensity out there. What you would expect a game to be to decide a division title and #1 playoff seed. What was the difference in the outcome of the game yesterday? You both can answer.

They dont make mistakes and we did. When you play a good team you cant leave points off the board. I also think despite talking about their offense we werent prepared and they hit us for a big play early. Glag pulling for us was ****ty and you cant have that. Bottom line they made plays early and we didn`t and we couldnt catch up.

Our mindset was to go down and put together a score. The previous drive before that qb run of the year, we had got down to the five or something like that and couldnt punch it in, so we knew we needed to put together a drive. I`ll be honest with you I wasn`t panic but I was thinking too myself I`m not trying to get blown out of here. I`m sure my teammates were thinking something close. Cody is in a meeting right now FYI

Sorry for the delay

Hat`s off to TC, they controlled the game from beginning to end. Dre showed up to back up all of his words. Locs did a great job planting people parellel to ground all night. Jeremy played like great decision maker he is.

These guys came out like the veteren team that they are, and we showed up like rookies. Offensivly we did fine, defensively we really didn`t have an answer last night. That being said, they gave us a chance at try to tie the game at best (like Badboys did us) and we came up short.

To me the only thing positive that came out this game for us, is that our offense still moves the ball effectively and efficiently, and we did it against a very stingy defense.

The league doesn`t have to worry, Big Brother TC came out and handled the New Bully`s on the Block.

Good game fellas, now we gotta regroup and go take care a business against the West`s best.

@Caller, our OL handled their own. Adjustments were made to get a grip on Locs, but they did just fine.

LOL well goes without saying we didnt achieve that. I mean to be honest if we played them today I would go in with more confidence we could beat them then I did yesterday. They may try to sound the part but as much trouble as we had with their offense the feeling was mutual I dont think their DB`s walked away from that game feeling confident going into another match up with us. Will I guarantee a win in the next match up, NO, my guarantee card is worthless now but do I feel next time we`ll beat them soundly YES!

LOL, Will kinda stole my thunder there. I have a sequence of questions I have before the show and that question was going to be asked later in the show but we can get to it now. Grove and Cody - You do most of the talking on the messageboard and are relatively quiet on the field. #1 from the Spread does all the talking on the field and is quiet on the messageboard. What gives?

For me once the game is on, the talking is done by making plays, some guys motivate themselves through talking on the field that`s not my style, I dont knock it but that`s not my thing. I dont know why he`s not on the messageboard but I`ll try to reach out to him and see what`s up

Grove, you mentioned that you wouldn`t be producing anymore guarantees. However, you stated if you played TC again you would win soundly. What would be the strategy and what would be done differently to win soundly against TC?

I dont want to give away too much of our adjustments, but I can say we feel that we know what to do defensively. I dont think there is much adjustment needed on offensive we were able to execute for the most part so really wouldnt be any changes there other then going at #2 more instead of Dre.

We were missing our other starting corner and our true safety. We basically had different guys on the field that generally don`t play with one another. We had some breakdowns that we will sure correct. Good game 7pt.

With that said I think my situation is similar to Dre, we have to dispell conventional wisdom that our size means we can`t get the job done, I mean you seen #2 for tc, he looked like he just left the NFL combine but couldn`t play a lick

I notice one big weakness in your team and that is the kicking game. Short kickoffs gave TC great field position, and No Place-kickers could be the difference in tight games. Any chance of recruiting a kicker?

Dre, we were missing our starting corner also, so let`s not start a battle of "what ifs". With the 2 teams that took field, you guys out played us.

@Caller, No and No. Why would you say our OL didn`t do anything to stop TC rush. They had 2 sacks total, and our QB was getting rid of the ball. I mean if you want style points, say that, but i don`t consider our OL having a bad day until, the QB doesn`t have time to get the ball off and/or we give up all kinds of sacks. Is TC`s pressure nice? Absolutely. Did it effect the game to point where our post game disussion was, "we gotta get our QB more time", Negative.

Our post game discussion centered around 1 thing, the inability to stop Jeremy from doing whatever the hell he wanted to do.

@Caller... yeah our kicking game suffers. We`re kinda like the badboys in that area. However they guy that usually kicks the kickoffs for us (the same corner i mentioned above), was out last night, so somebody had to do it. I usually handle the extra points last night, but since i`m like 4/10 on the season, we opted not to...

ESPN... I had the game recorded also. I just don`t see where manhandling was taking place. I think I said early, we had to make some adjustments on Locs, because he was doing his thing, but the ball was getting off. Again I ask, are we going off style points? if so, TC #55 and Locs, are MVPs. Did they put pressure on the QB? YES. Did it make us panic and put an additional blocker out there? No. They won some battles on the line, I`m sure, but our OL won some battles also. He`ll we moved the ball effectively down the field 4 times(1 resulting in INT), they had to be doing something right.

Let`s hear from Locs, if he can call in. LOCS, was our OL a cake walk?

First of all that was the most fun I`ve had in a game in quite some time. 7 Point Spread is a welcome addition to the league and I hope they`re here to stay. It`s get me even more excited about the Fall when you have these types of games week in and week out. I`ve talked to Tom and I hate the Open format. I like the battles every week in the Fall with all true A teams but I digress.

Cody, actually I thought you`re OL was pretty good. Our defense was on the field for so long that I was spent by the end of that game. I love that feeling. Sh*t I drank a whole gallon of water during the course of that game!

@Caller, I`ve played in this league a few seasons. (sidenote, led the A league in INTs last season, check the stats still there) <<<< that was lame... that being said.

Toughest QB to sack, Jeremy... Toughest WR cover, Tyson (i will seem to limits his touches and have at least 1 INT when they force it to him, however, he seems to have a stat line reading 2 catches 2 TDs by games end)... Toughest DB to beat, None. In the fall i didn`t play much WR and this year, i`ve been deferring a lot because of our deep roster. I haven`t really played full time WR enough to give anybody credit and/or take credit away.

States and Nationals are the first two weeks in December. I can assure you that you will qualify for states. Now as far as Nationals, the Kerns/Sharks have already qualified from their performance in this year`s state`s tournament. There are 4 MD bids available for Nationals this year. I hear that the MD league will run on Sunday nights in the fall with the top four teams taking those national bids. I hear TC will be entering along with the Badboyz in attempt to get those bids. It seems to me that it would be a no brainer for the Spread to enter that league and attempt to get that bid Nationals if you really want to be considered one of the elite teams. Your thoughts?

Yes there is new teams, there so many teams who will get a call before you. When one of the other teams from the year before don`t take there spot, usually the next team in line takes it. Trust me i know there of plenty of teams in front of you guys and there gonna snag up the spot. That`s the logic, teams that haven`t been in that been wanted to for a long time don`t usually turn down there chance when it finally happens because they know if they don`t take it, it might very well been there only shot. So what i`m saying is you guys are probably to new of a team to get a chance at it this early, if you pay attention to what happens with it every year you see how it`s done. There are so few spots with H-Burg always taking at least two and few others from Richmond and Va Beach area. If you get in Tom made it happen.

@Rob - Tom mentioned last night that the official date of the Bark Bowl would be August 8th. I forgot to ask him which fields. From prior conversations, I think he wants to go back to Baron Cameron because of the heat factor on the turf. I personally don`t mind the hot a8z turf fields.

@Homeboy - We were a first year team that got in the Bark Bowl last year.
