05/10 : Signal beats Speedpass 21-14

Signal improves to 7-2 on the season, while Speedpass drop to 2-6-1.

The victory continues a 2 game winning streak for Signal which now stands at 3 wins in a row.

Coupled with a loss in their previous game Speedpass is now on a two game slide.

This was the first meeting between these two teams.

FYI... Speedpass is brand new to the league this year. And actually we are a club team through work, so in joining what is called "C-league" we didn`t expect it to be as competitive as it is. So as a result, we started out the season terribly. Proof being we were blown out several times. But over the last few weeks we have started to play better. Most notably we tied Rude Buddha (where RB had a final drive TD and 2 pt conversion just to TIE us) and scored 14 on Signal. These teams have played multiple seasons in the league, so they should be expected to be a better team than us. I guess it`s hard to get even a little respect, even in "C-League".

Speedpass - the close game with Signal def. shows that you guys have improved a lot over the season... I`d say it is even more meaningful than tying RB... Stick with it!

Speedpass will make some noise in A in a year or 2. They just need a few more pieces.

Win in C before dreaming of A...A from C is about the same kind of jump as C from no idea about the league...

I have seen all of them and Bulldogs are the only team in C right now who can compete with the A teams. Def not the Lunatics II. They would probably be 500 in A this Fall but should go in B just for more experience. This time next Spring expect them to lock up one of the A slots.

3rd or 4th in the east? So you think they`d beat out ccr and grayhounds? interesting.

I never said anything about "A" league. Like I said we are a club team through work, so our teams are open and accomodate anyone who wants to play. That makes it tough to expect anything higher than "C". BlackGold is actually the other team in the same situation as us. The talent pool was split between the two teams for fairness and hopes of both teams still being competive. I`m sure that if we picked the best players from the 2 teams and put them together, the one team would have been really competitive. But we do what we can and are just glad to see some improvement. Getting destroyed each week is never fun. Either way, we still hope to improve and be more competitive in future seasons.

It does seem yall have improved over the year. However, yall need to get that first `w`. I actually think yall are better than ****roaches. In my opinion i think they are the worst team in the league. It also doesnt help being a first year team with 2 b teams in C, along with quite a few other teams who have been around for a few seasons.

Wahoos were also a B team under the name Storm, so there are actually four teams in C that were at one time in the B league (Wahoos/Storm, Signal/Helltown, Rude Buddha, Bulldogs). Teams either lose players or do not have good enough records to warrant them moving into open, it happens and I am sure teams aren`t happy about moving down. Just like the A leaguers that don`t want to hear from Bun B which is all too funny.

Yo it`s Bun B

it all depends... are you a big fish little pond guy (ego centric), or would you rather play against talent?

Just passing thru passing out flyers to Bun B`s party. Come through and get a taste of what it`s going to be like when you cats enter in the Open league next Spring. Ain`t no party like a Bun B party cause a Bun B party don`t stop!

All the teams in C are missing a few pieces to be able to compete in the Open League. Some teams have a good QB, but lack the quality WRs. Others are fast, but have no OLine or DLine.

I suggest if you guys want to complete in A League, combine your best players in C and play in Open together. Most current A teams did originally play together in C League. There is a time in life to leave your friends and move on bigger and better things. :)
