Sorry for the long layoff fellas but lets take a look at tonight`s prime match-ups...

Novacaine vs. Wolves

Novacaine is coming off a dissapointing loss to Union and is looking to get things back on track this week versus a depleted Wolves roster. I know I picked this team in my preseason rankings to finish atop the Western division and now they find themselves on the brink of missing the A playoffs. I think with Badboy`s dropping two out of their last three games Novacaine still can have some hopes of being able to slip in if things don`t go well tonight... IF they can handle the Badboys next week. The team is still strong with their only two losses coming by a total of 11 points (vs. Magnums & Union).

Magnums have completed the tough stretch of their schedule and will seemingly coast into the playoffs.

Union on the other hand are not out of the woods just yet. They have games left vs. Collision and Greyhounds. They will need one out of the two, but it is very likely they could drop both and depending on what Navacaine does with their remaining schedule. They could find themselves looking from the outside in.

So the Caines should view tonight`s game as a must win situation. They most likely will be playing weak Wolves team, and what seems like will be the easier of their games between Wolves & Badboys. I look for the Caines to take advantage of this and will ride the backs of Cube and Dumbells and get things done tonight.

After starting off the season pretty strong the Wolves now find themselves on a two game skid which started with a 10-7 loss to the defending champs (TC). Injuries have killed this team all around and now confirmation over the weekend has #9 (Nadal) out for the season with an ACL injury. That adds to the list of another prime player #1 (Jason) who also is nursing a knee injury and is most likely out for the season. I just don`t know how the Wolves will recover with these two lossses. These two key players are not only their leaders and best playmakers, but account for 2 starting wr`s and 2 starting cb`s. Their presence will be surely missed on both sides of the ball versus a strong Novacaine team. The Wolves will need some player/s to step up tonight and take the lead and hope they can get a few bounces to go their way.

Novacaine takes this match-up by a score of 21-9.

Triple Crown vs. Greyhounds

Not sure if this is considered a prime match-up or not but it surely does have playoff implications for the Hounds. They are fighting for the final spot in the east with the Wolves and CCR. Their remaining schedule is no easy cake walk with games left versus: CCR, Wolves, and Union. They need to come out tonight and suprise the defending champs and somehow pull off the upset to better their chances of making the A playoffs. Their is not much here to talk about other than that TC now has arguably Greyhounds best player (Dre) playing for them. That plain and simple should be the difference in this game. Hollywood...you need your guy`s to come through for you tonight! I look for the Hounds to come out tonight and run A LOT! Control the clock and keep the potent TC offense off the field. If the Hounds can do this and keep the game close in the second half, I think they could have a chance a pull off the upset. RUN!

TC should see this game as their next to last true test of the season until playoff time. Other game comes next week when they face off against 7PT. I really see them having no trouble tonight, as the most consistent offense in this league should move the ball up and down the field easily in this one.

This one also ends in a two score win...TC 21 Hounds 10.

Teams under the radar and looking very good:

1. Rejects (starting to gel perhpas?)
2. 7PT (just cruising along...until next week)

Good luck to all the players playing tonight and the rest of the week!
