WOW...Great game last night!

TC jumped out to a 10-0 lead after an opening drive failed attempt on fourth and short by the Wolves and then Wolves followed by throwing a bad interception on their next posession. Both Wolves opening drives allowed TC to capitalize by starting deep in Wolves territory. This was pretty much the way the first half played out. TC seemed well in control...but...

There were some very interesting points in this game that stood out to me:

1. Wolves opening drive I noticed that TC CBs were very susceptible with their defense and personnel alignment (particulary their left side CB`s). Wolves receivers were running free at ease. Wolves attempted to hit them deep and nearly did twice (back to back). Second half the trend continued. Better QB play by the Wolves and we very easily are here today talking about a two score Wolves victory.

2. QB play by both teams was way below average. Both QB`s seemed extremely nervous and it showed in their play as each struggled throwing int`s to the other team and making very poor decisions. Completed passes over the line of scrimage were minimal last night. With some familiarity of these two QB`s I will allow for some slack to be given to TC`s signal caller. If any defense came close to being dominant it was the Wolves. They held TC to possibly 60-70 yards of total offense for the night. The majority of yeards came on their second drive which started at the Wolves 35-40 yard line and ended in a TD. As for the Wolve`s QB...well young fella...you always have next week (assuming you do). TC left side CB`s either owe you one hell of a dinner or should have been counting their blessings last night before bed!

3. Wolves decision making grade/IQ = FAIL. You don`t allow a high power offense to start in your own end. Possessions are minimal and you must be smart with the ones your garunteed. I expected more from a veteran team. Especially with a TC defense that had major holes last night*(see above).

Call it what you want,luck, slipped by, squeaked by, etc. But when two good teams meet like this you just may need luck to be on your side. Last night lady luck played for your defending chapms.

If their Sunday QB doesn`t break his hand in Week 1, he plays QB last night for the Wolves, Wolves win in convincing fashion. There are several (inappropriate) adjectives ("young" is definitely NOT one of them) for the current QB , but I`m trying to keep this post relatively civil. 3. The big difference maker here was TC QB`s alignment. He knows the Wolves` pass rush intimately (plays with them on Sundays). He was literally 10 yards behind the LOS pre-snap. That gave him time to make quicker reads BEFORE he had the ball in his hands. Wolves should have used a faster pass rush (let #1 rush instead of play coverage). When you line up that far back, any possibility of pressure depends on someone with serious speed. Alternatively, they should have slowplayed the pass rush to cut off the dumpoffs. 4. Wolves have WAY too many chefs in the kitchen. That statement speaks for itself. Keep up the good work, HS!

;	Sorry for being awol, I was out of country the last few weeks. Yo, from what I saw last night any of these teams can beat down them 7pt newbs with ease. No need to worry here my friends, the title is safe with the vet teams! Look for more tomorrow after we see what 7pt does vs the CCR stipers...I mean defense.
