this is complete crap...i drove all the way down to MD. As the commish, tom, it is your responsibility to let the coaches know whether the games are on or off....you should have been at the field since this is the second time this has happened. you need to take charge and relay the message to players and refs....there are people coming in from all over, stop blaming the county...yes its a county issue, BUT its your fault for having all these teams travel into reston for nothing....YOU dropped the ball on this...stop pointing finger.....you are two for two, sweet

;	Maybe you all should play in the MD flag football league since Tom is doing such a terrible job running this one. Its sucks but Tom works very hard to make this league work and should try to let us know ahead of time in instances such as this but he shouldn`t thrown under the bus when things don`t meet your expectations.

;	Ya`ll btch way too much. Everyone`s been F-d one way or another whether its lights not working or inclement weather. I`ve had players drive from over an hour away to get to a field WITH lights on, only to be told that the county canceled games once we got there because of a storm that hit a half hour earlier. The phone line was updated immediately once the decision was made, but by that time everyone was already at the field. Sht happens, we pay to play because its fun, but TOM has a life too and cant sit around Lake Fairfax all evening waiting to see if some pinhead remembered to put the lights one. I guarantee you one thing though, Tom is a good commish and this won`t happen again, so shut up with your "TWICE" talk aready. B*tches.

;	We were all on the phone from 7:30 to 9:00 last night non-stop (coaches, commissioners, county people, officials). I talked to both coaches in person for the 8:00 game and by 8:20 we reviewed some options (like moving the games to another field that night) but the logistics didn`t work. We continued to try and get the lights on to no avail. The coaches for the second game were already out there when we finally had to cancel for the evening. So, even if I was at the field, it would not have been a different result. I cannot turn on the lights if the officials cannot. I cannot manually override the setting from the field or from home. We had every reason to believe the lights would be on tonight, and were assured of this as late as 3:00 yesterday. You can get mad at me - that`s fine, and if you drove out there (twice in the case of Kerns) you have every right to by angry. If I were in your shoes I would be angry. Just know that we went overboard in contacting and getting reassurances that the lights would be on last night. There was nothing more we could do - when every single person involved at the County tells us multiple times, "don`t worry the lights will be on".

This whole league takes Tom`s work for granted and doesn`t realize how good we have it. I understand it sucks driving there for nothing but it`s not Tom`s fault! I`m not trying to kiss his a** either or I would`ve logged in.

;	not sure the league is operating at the same level as it has in the past, yeah its a good league with a good reputation but it seems as if there are alot of issues not be handled properly. tom has let some parts of his game slip a little cant be an easy job and I wouldnt want it nor would I want to drive a long way to be sent home 2 weeks in a row, that is awful no excuse for that, tom needs to get a hold on this one or we will lose alot of the out of town teams and players and maybe our good reputation too!!!!!!!

;	this league keeps getting better and better. if you want to complain about the lights call the lake fairfax people. if tom checks and they say they are going to have the lights on he really cant do much more then that. if you want to stay in staunton or winchester or wherever and play in another league go ahead. tom has done a great job and every year things get better and better.
