Well ladies and gentlemen, it turned out to be a wild Spring season with a couple of twists and turns, but nonetheless it was pretty much what we expected-Another A league championship for Triple Crown. These guys have won A league titles both seasons that they`ve existed. Certainly they are the top team, with a bunch of experienced players that all got together to make a pretty tough squad to beat. Diesel overcame a rough start and proved they probably could`ve made A playoffs had the season been a few games longer, beating tough teams like Novacaine, Storm, Rejects and CCR down the stretch. Congrats on your titles Diesel and TC.

Now, going into the shortest offseason out of any other sport in existence, let`s reflect on some key players from this spring, and some teams that made strides and could be on the rise this upcoming Fall:

MVP: Gotta say it was TC`s QB, even though he has some great WRs in #11 and #0. Although I saw him make some poor throws, he always scored enough points to secure the W for TC week in and week out.

Player to watch out for in Fall 2009: Cube Boy. If you don`t know who he is yet, you will soon.

Teams to look out for in Fall 2009:

*Signal- These guys are winners, they are just inconsistent. They need some go-to receivers and they will be very tough. Fast QB, good arm. Great D.

*Rejects-These guys were on fire the first half of the season, but fell off. I predict the get back into form, find a better QB, and are a top 5 A-team in the Fall.

*Novacaine- B Champs in Fall 2008, A league playoff birth this past season. Didn`t have Cube Boy vs. TC and still played them all right. Great defense. Get a couple more playmakers Novacaine and you will be a dangerous A team.

*Diesel- It took them 5-6 weeks to do their thing, but now that we`ve seen em do it, WATCH OUT! They run the spread better than any team besides TC, and their D is solid. Look for them to be a decent A team this fall.

Good commentary.

Cube Boy is monster.

TC`s QB is the best QB in the league.

Top two kickers in the league goes to TC and Diesel. They should be in the NFL.

I predict Magnums come back stronger next season.

Hurricanes proved they are too much for the B. Can`t wait to see what they do in the upper divisions.

Yeah I forgot to mention the Mags...The teams to watch out for were more so newer teams that could make a splash in A, Magnums are obvi already an established A team. I would label the Magnums as the darkhorse of A in the Fall. They made strides this year and I guarantee with a little more game experience together they will be right in the conversation with TC and Sharks.

Yeah the Mags are definitely coming into their own in the A League in only their 2nd season with the big boys.

Not to mention they lost their starting QB towards the end of the season. Says a lot about their depth that their backup QB could come in an win 4 out of the last 5 games for them. Having that defense definitely helps.

Cube-

I updated your e-mail and made you assistant coach on the roster again.

Tom- Shouldn`t it send a password to him when I do this? Or is there something else I have to do to get him registered?

Kryptonites: A solid team, but in my opinion, too many players, and not to be mean, but too much "deadweight". Most wouldn`t believe it, but The Kryptonites have some of the best athletes in this league, especially their WR corps. If they had a more fundamental QB who acutally tried to throw the ball instead of running around scrambling in the backfield until the play breaks down, they`d be legit. Their defense is great against a conventional offense, but needs work against the spread. Rumor has it they may not have a team next season, but if they do they need to work on their QB, O and D-line.

GSS Blazers Chaos- I have only seen these guys play in week 1 against the Greyhounds, but for what it`s worth they are another team with dangerous athletes. This team looked to me as if they should`ve won that Greyhounds game in week 1. Great D-Backs who make awesome breaks on the ball from what I remember. However, it seems that after that game everything went downhill for them. I heard their QB got hurt, and in this league, sometimes that`s all it takes to take a team out of contention. If they get their QB back and figure out their own style of play, they will resume playing as the great team they were in the fall.

Titans: Not gonna lie, I have never seen them play. But from their game scores, it seems like they got off to a rocky start and never fully recovered due to a tough schedule. They almost reminded me of Diesel in the East in the sense that even though their record was crappy, they were in almost every game they played, and probably should`ve won a bunch of close ones. I think they have a good D and need to get a few more playmakers on offense, and maybe a new QB, because their lack of scoring hurt them this year.
