Wow seems like some good games went down last night. Titans look like a much better team than people give them credit for, almost beat Signal. Novacaine upsets CCR, and Greyhounds squeak by against The Rejects. TC massacres the Krypts. Can I get a recap of these games?

Novacaine was up 17-7, NOVAS scored with a few seconds left, but couldn`t get the onside. Caines won 17-13.

HOW the hell do you stop the spread offense???

GH vs RJ

Rejects couldn`t handle the Greyhounds spread offense. Drives at the end of both halves resulted in TDs. Rejects scored on a bomb just before halftime to tie the game, but had a FG blocked late in the 2nd half after a long drive. In addition, the Greyhounds picked off the Rejects 4 times.

and novacaines both are below average teams. The novacaines only have one good guy that can do anything.

Run spread too? Thus the question reemerges, how do you defend it?

Question

Does TC run Spread?

greyhounds dont run a spread, they line up with 3 OL every play, and the center is usually blocking, but is sometimes a safety valve for the QB.

I think against TC, the best thing to do is send a guy around the biggin that lines up in the backfield, and get on his outside shoulder to stop the QB from rolling, and then bring another guy from the other side to chase him down. play man to man on the receivers, that QB will throw up some jump balls...hope for some int`s. COVER THE CENTER.

TC

runs a little of both. They have all speed on the field except one lineman.

Greyhounds do run a spread sometimes (not every drive), I`ve seen them do it. The center always goes out for passes unless you blitz.

Teams that run the spread typically run different variations of the spread. Union, TC, Bad Boyz, Wolves, all run different offenses under the "spread" so you can`t say this is how you stop the spread. You might stop Union`s spread with one defense but that same defense might give up 35 to TC`s spread (I`m not saying one spread is better than the other, just using the teams I listed above in the same order).

With that being said, defensively you just need to cut down on the mistakes, pull flags, and keep pressure on the QB.

That was probably the ugliest game I`ve played in and the 3-0 reflects it...they are definitely better than their record shows and if they didnt drop a couple balls probably could have won it...I would say good game but it really wasnt...ugly.

Its all right

Signal, you got the W and that`s what counts. Keep up the good work.

I`ve seen a lot of teams run spread. TC, Sharks, Hounds, Union, Diesel, Novacaine, BBoyz, etc. However, Diesel and TC are the only ones I`ve seen run it full time. The other teams use it here and there.

my team runs spread so i`m not going to tell you how to stop it. but there really is no one move that will stop it. you can just tweak things to attack what changes the defense makes.

hahaha to the response of Novacaine only has one guy that makes plays... well where are all the other touchdowns coming from?? how did they beat hokies and novas?? come on give them boys some credit they are the 3rd seed in the A playofffs!!

that one guy scored all novacaines touchdowns.

one guy scores 99.99% of your touchdowns doesn`t mean your team sucks. If it`s not broken, don`t fix it. Give him the ball.
