whoever is saying don`t sleep on the NOVAS is insane. I watched the NOVAS get spanked last night by My Plumber. The only play they had was a little dig route underneath. Once they figured that out Plumber shut them down. I feel the NOVAS are garbage.

You should have also noticed that they did not have 3/4 of their team.

Give it up. That excuse is old. Why is it everytime someone loses they blame it on somebody not showing up. The lack of athletes is the problem. Having 3 good players and 12 bums doesn`t mean you are a good team. You need all athletes. NOVAS went out and recruited all the leftovers from the spring league who weren`t worth anything in the first place. We let a few bums go, do you want there #.

the NOVAS are a good team when they have the whole team show up. But so are Myplumber, Lazy, Kern, Sharks and the Lions. These teams are the cream of the crop and i don’t think that we will see the best of them until states. but that is just the way it is. most of the elite teams in the league use the regular season to work out new things and prepare for states. so as good as these teams are, expect them to be even better when states rolls around. from the looks of things, No.VA is going to have some pretty good squads going down to the state tournament this year. lets bring it home boys. Richmond and VA. Beach have had the state title for long enough.

..., huh?

actually, richmond and va beach have only won the last two states, and it was two different teams. before that northern va had the state title on lock with my plumber/blue iguana, the red dogs and capitol countdown/vestra dominating for what seemed like a decade. however i do agree, the state title is coming back where it belongs this year, but who from northern va is gonna step up and stake their claim to the throne? should be fun.......

the lions are back baby, they got ther swagger back against the rhinos last night and they will give my plumber their first loss next week. they have changed their offense around and now may have the best o to go with what is hands down the best d in the league. don`t sleep on them because they are peaking at the right time. they are the early favorite to win it all at states.

Hold on now. Don’t get too fare ahead of yourself. The Lions still have not beaten any of the top teams in the “A” league. Sure they got some wins under their belt. But look at who they were against:

Larry: weak ass IFFL team that thought they could move up into the week-night league.

Vienna Ballers: a new team that has speed but not system. A good “B” team at best

Rhinos: IFFL Spring champs. Or should I say chumps.

The Lions have not done anything this year. What is this new look? It can’t be that great. You still need a QB to run the offense and the Lions don’t have one. This must be a joke. All they have is defense, but they don’t score so they are not going to do anything in the playoffs. Stop talking up these Lions like they are a top team. Myplumber and Sharks are still the teams to beat.

Look, we have lost games this year to kerns 14-7, novas 6-0, and sharks 14-7, and have beat some other teams this year. but hey, it happens to the best and the worst. but, when you lose both starting WR and DB on your team it hurts. look, last night kerns was missing their OL and QB and they tied the ballers, so does that make them suck? no. i know all of you think we suck or whatever but that`s ok. we will see who did what in the league this year at the END, not now, because it`s just the tune up for all the teams in the league. that`s my two cents.

To everyone in the league that likes or dislikes what my guys are about- I respect the hate and the love. My guys are good people and we enjoy competing with everyone in the league and mean no harm to anyone. I never intentionally want anyone to ever get hurt or do I purposely instruct anyone to hurt anyone. I don`t have players on my team that are like that. We do have our characters- but so does every team. I don`t ever get on this board and bust on other people or teams. I only come on here to address the general public concerning issues that are not accurate. We are not a dirty team- we play within the rules and rarely get personal fouls. We get more offsides penalties than anything. But we are not dirty! We play by the rules and Tom, Shay, Rob and the officials know that. If people insist on poking fun at this issue - go ahead I really don`t care. I know that there are jokers out there that just love to talk ****- so enjoy this message! I just wanted to speak my peace! Thanks!

It`s not that you guys don`t have a good team, but it seems like every time I check the messageboard there is something stated about how good the lions are, or what star player you have acquired. Wouldn`t it make you feel a lot better to have the other teams you compete against compliment your team on the way you have turned your season around instead of saying it yourself. Confidence is one thing, arrogance and ****yness is another. Remember all the talk about the lions before the spring playoffs, you guys just ask for people to give you a hard time with all the smack talk.

The lions are straight out punks who talk so much sh%^ it`s rediculous. After all the losses they still can`t keep there mouth shut. Everyone remembers they where the one`s who ran there mouth about going undefeated. That is a bold statement considering the company your in. You say "don`t sleep on the Lions" then do something to wake us up, your team is straight out boring. Your getting spanked each week because teams are loading up and coming after you. Loose the mouth and gain the respect.

For what it is worth (and that may not be much the way we are getting blown out every other week), the Lions spread offense looked pretty good against us on Monday.

With that said and again for what it is worth (which again may not be much), I have to agree with the poster who said the Lions should let their play do the talking for them. I agree every team has some "characters” (the Rhinos included) but the way some of the Lions act on the field is just ridiculous. I certainly did not see any dirty play on Monday, but is all the talk and screaming and chest beating really necessary? There is a fine line between "getting into the game" and congratulating your own teammates and demeaning the other team.

I will have to say that “me beating my chest” was a bit uncalled for, but all sports are 75% mental. I got caught up in the moment and that is how I reacted. That is how a play. That is how I am able to take on people that are bigger and taller than me (5’5” on a latter/ 180). I play with a chip on my shoulder and talk a lot, and for that I will not apologies. Before the game and after the game, I am one of the coolest, fun-loving guy that you will meet. But when you put me between the lines I have to turn on my “game-mode” switch. But even in the heat of the game I never say anything personal. You didn’t see me come running onto the message board and start all this trash talk about the game. I am a targeted person in this league, and a lot of things are said on this board under my name. I was not out to hurt #92, I was only trying to protect myself. He (#92) said to “hit him behind the line” and that is what he was trying to do. But by doing that, he hurt your team. He took himself out of a couple of plays because he was so hell-bent on try to hit me. Look, all in all, I was wrong for beating my chest after the hit on your rusher. But I don not apologies for what happened between #92 and me. We both got caught up in the heat of the game and ended up bumping chests. Nothing personal was said, no injuries came of it and no ones feels were hurt. Good game all in all and good luck to you guys for the rest of the season.

If you really were observant you would notice that not everyone on the Lions is a, in your words, "punk". I`ve seen a lot of games and there`s bad apples on many teams. Stop generalizing an entire team based on the actions of a couple of players. And if you`re going to post something on this board, be a little more unique. Bitching about the Lions is getting old.

enough of the lions bashing once and for all. anyone on this board talking sh*t about them has an axe to grind, prolly from getting their azz kicked by them. furthermore, the last time i checked the lions haven`t won anything of note EVER, other than a lot of games (i`ll give them that). but until they are champs or something leave them alone. hell they can talk all they want to. if you want them to stop running their mouths on the field, feel free to stop them on the field and believe me they`ll shut up.

First of all, let me say good job to the Lions on Monday and good luck to them the rest of year. Hopefully if we can make it out of the Pop Warner playoffs, `cause we`re not even a shadow of our Spring team, then maybe we`ll see them again this year. Second, to reiterate with one of your Lions` teammate just said. You have two players on your team that make everyone in this league down to the officials dislike you. I`ve never been in a game where I had so many players from other teams giving advice because they wanted another team to lose so bad because they hated them. I understand every team has characters and it`s an emotional game. However, there are unwritten rules in the sport and #52 breaks them. For one, if you make a play or your team makes a big play, you go celebrate with your team. You don`t come over to the other team`s sideline talking sh*t and beating your chest. That`s when it`s gets personal and situations occur. If we were playing baseball #52, you were have been beaned in the head in your next at bat. If you would have talked smack to my rusher indivually who you got a good block on a couple of time that would have been fine and I wouldn`t have had a problem with that. Talking smack to someone your defending or who is defending you is fine. You leave it on the field after the game. But don`t come over to my sideline after every play talking sh*t. RESPECT THE GAME!

92Locs, you are dead on. unfortunately lions#52 thinks he is WAY better than he is so he is an exception to the rule. i think you can talk all the trash you want if you are backing it up, but somewhere on this board he was saying how he always backs it up, but the problem is he is a terrible player and a poor sport. not sure if you noticed but he talks smack and does all that celebrating no matter what happens on the field, he has little mans syndrome so he has to try and pump himself up how ever possible. bottom line is he just sucks so who cares, he is the one that looks like an ass dancing around like he just won the superbowl, when the plays he makes that affect the outcome of a game are few and far between. you can tell who the guys are that can`t get recognition for their play on the field because they have to bring attention to themselves. note to lions#52, if you were that good of a player people would see that and give you props, you wouldn`t have to go around running you mouth all night. and for the record i play for my plumber so you will have your chance to prove yourself next monday night if you disagree with anything i just said. #52, I give you props. It seems that you have a majority of the league beaten mentally. They come on this board and talk talk talk about you. If they get a chance to play against you, they are not thinking of actually playing the game but in fact trying to figure out a way to shut you up. This takes away from their game and possibly causing them to make a mistake and in the end, THE GAME. Believe me, I have factored in many team wins due to me getting into the heads of many players and causing them to make big mistakes. On the other hand, do not go overboard and cause penalties for your team or worse game ejection/suspension.

You are very badly mistaken if you think #52 doesn`t contribute to the success of our football team. Yes, he`s emotional, yes, he plays with heart, but to say he isn`t good is wrong. He is undersized to most lineman in the league and holds his own. People can hate on him and say this and that, but the truth is that any team in this league would love a player with his intensity.

Lions, congrats on beating us on Monday. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on when "being intense" and "playing with heart" crosses the line.

Whether we were happy with how a few of your guys showed their intensity or not, no argument in who the better team was on Monday night.

#52, I like the intensity you bring to the field. I have to admit, I didn`t like it the first time I played against you, but I`ve talked to you off the field in passing and you aren`t the same guy you are on the field, I`ll agree with you on that ... I can get pretty intense myself. So, good luck through the rest of the season, keep the intensity and we`ll see you guys on Monday. Hopefully I`ll be able to play this week.

Lion 52, I`ll agree that you`re a big part of the team, and you bring some talent too - no question. But I`d also have to agree that your actions go beyond `intense`. I don`t want to pile on, because you do have a good crop of guys surrounding you. But you should think about this - even the refs didn`t like you. I know it`s no popularity contest out there, but your actions do a disservice to your team - 1, by the refs not liking you, and 2, by other teams gunning for you. You even have people on your own team being quick to point out that your actions do not represent that of the entire team.

You guys handed it to us Monday night, so the thread is right.. "don`t sleep" But still... saying your a great guy but excusing your actions as soon as you step foot on that field, is kinda like saying your a great husband, but that all changes when you step into a strip club. It just might be time to start listening to what everyone else is saying, and not that voice in your head. If you`re a great guy, just be one on the field, that`s all...You probably are a good guy, b/c I was honestly shocked to see you take the high road on the message board after the way the Rhinos played and acted Monday night. So, if you are a good guy, don`t let your actions ruin it. Good luck to you and the rest of the Lions. You guys aren`t dirty, just good.

yah I noticed last game that you were not there. The guy that was playing is good, don’t get me wrong, but he didn’t stretch the field the way you do. All in all, you guys looked good. That little guy that was playing the middle of the field on defense can flat out fly. I`ve never seen a middle linebacker cover sideline to sideline like that. Hope that you are out there for our game.
