As most of you know, we`re hosting the State Tournament this year.

Here is some basic info for teams unfamiliar with the State Tournament:

There is an "A" and a "B" State Tournament.

We expect at least 70 teams to compete from around the state Saturday and Sunday.

Its a single elimination tournament, with the bulk of the games Saturday. Sunday is for the A & B semis and championships.

Cost per team is $175.

Each registered league gets a certain number of bids to allocate (based on league size).

We register FCFFL SPRING "A" (3 bids), FCFFL SPRING "B" (3 bids), FCFFL FALL "A" (3 bids), FCFFL FALL "B+" (4 bids), FCFFL FALL "B" (4 bids).

For self-contained leagues (regular season and playoffs all against same group of teams) We allocate our bids based first on playoffs final four, then regular season standings.

For example, FCFFL Fall "A" bids are:
1) Triple Crown (champ)
2) Sharks (runner-up)
3) Badboyz (lost semi to #1)

BUT, Sharks will take their #1 bid from the Spring, which now makes it:

1) Triple Crown (champ)
2) Badboyz (lost semi to #1)
3) Magnums (lost semi to #2)

Badboyz could win the IFFL Fall "A" league, and elect to take that bid instead or could elect to take their Spring#2 bid. If that happened, we`d now have:

1) Triple Crown (champ)
2) Magnums (lost semi to #2)
3) CCR NOVAs

CCR NOVAs are taking the #1 bid from Arlington, so it would actually be:

1) Triple Crown (champ)
2) Magnums (lost semi to #2)
3) Greyhounds

...see how this works?

As for B+ & B here is where we are:

B+ (4 bids)
1) Rejects *accepted*
2) GSS Chaos Blazers *accepted*
3) Storm (waiting for reply)
4) ~~The Union~~ declined
4) Entourage (???)
waitlist: Iron Monks

B (4 bids)
1) Novacaine *accepted*

;	It is done every year.They say that this practice is not allowed , but nobody does roster checks , even when the refs know that a team has added players from a team that lost early in the tourney.The state tourney is a stacked tourney that is won by how may players can be picked up.I have seen several teams go that did not field a team during the current years` seasons and yet they have a full squad at states.I have also seen a B team with three original players end up winning with a roster that is 75% A players that lost ealry in the A bracket and worse still is that I saw a team go down with a QB , RB and a lineman and pick up guys that did not qualify on their respective teams and win the B bracket.Can`t blame people for wanting to win or saying the guys who run this thing can`t do their job, but don`t say NO when it can`t be stopped.

;	Mags were asked to play A League in the fall since there weren`t enough teams signed up for A. This after they couldn`t even make it out of the first round the previous year in B+. Also they didn`t make it out of the 1st round of B States the previous 2 years. So don`t make it sound like they were a legit A team coming into the tourney.

;	no one was complaining about the magnums before the tourny only after they win because they are piss poor losers. how about any team thinking of playing in the B tourny stay out of the A leagues and play in B. That will make you happy?so outcasts, vegas, magnums next time tom ask you to play in A to make it even just tell him sorry no we need to play in B so the *****es in the league dont cry when we play B at state tourny. spaulding play A in spring and no one is crying about them being in B i guess only teams who do good get the haters.no one is talking about united who won B in spring and too scarred to play A in the fall so they must be a legit B team i guess.

;	Give the Magnums credit for playing in A during the season. It was a smart move for them to play B in states. Now they can take this momentum into the A league next season. Maybe if some of the B teams would step up and play some better competition you`d improve you`re teams. CONGRATS ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!

;	Most folks that post are sorry ass competitors and people. Instead of being happy that a team from the Fairfax League represented us by winning states, people are dissing them and hating. Be proud of your league and the accomplishments of our teams. Congrats to the Magnums and everyone who competed!
