In my last column I said My Plumber would beat the Lions on a last minute field goal. Turns out it was the Lions who kicked that field goal and not My Plumber. I correctly predicted the Lions would win easily over Lazy Sundae but I was way off on the Rhinos game as they were embarassed by the Coyotes and are now a big question mark to make the playoffs. Someone needs to call a team meeting.

With the season winding down it looks like the 3 best teams have already clinched playoff births, with the middle 4 looking to clinch leaving the lower 3 scrambling to make the final birth. Something tells me that the Coyotes will not upstage the Lions next week the same way they did against the Vienna Ballers and the Rhinos so 4 wins should guarantee a birth.

In tonight`s games a handful of teams with 3 wins are looking for that win number 4, one team is looking to remain on top of the division and another is fighting for its playoff life.

Vienna Ballers/Larrys

The Larrys didn`t just move up to division I this year to play, they moved up to compete and I would have to call their season a surprising success so far with victories over the Novas,Kerns and Lazy. The Larrys should finish 5-4 which I believe will earn them 4th place in division I. The Vienna Ballers are ranked 8th but have not beaten anyone ranked above them. It won`t start tonight as the Larrys will continue to play their ball control game and force the Vienna Ballers into a few turnovers. The Ballers will score a late garbage touchdown to avoid the shutout and the Larrys will improve to 4-3 with a 20-7 win.

Lazy Sundae/CCR NOVAs

A game between 2 underperforming teams which would fall into the disappointing season category.(Not the biggest disappointment which goes to the Rhinos) These 2 teams seem to play each other several times a year and the games are always within a score. It should be no different tonight. This game is really a toss up but I`ll give the slight edge to Lazy since Lazy played Monday and the Novas have not played in 10 days and could be a little rusty. Lazy 17-10.

Sharks/Kerns Mane Attraction

Add Kerns into the Lazy/Novas list of underperforming teams but out of that group I think Kerns is the most likely to break out of its funk. They have not won a game since mid september (2 losses and a tie) and I think they turn this thing around tonight. My Plumber will be interested in the outcome as well since a Sharks loss would put them back into a tie for the division title. I think this will be a close game throughout with Kerns scoring a late touchdown to pull ahead and then stopping the Sharks. Kerns in an upset win 14-10.

Lazy will lose. They haven`t fielded a full team since the first game of the season.

when the NOVAS have the whole team show up, they are pretty good. The hard part is getting them all to the game.

What happened to the guy on the NOVAS that hurt his knee? Looked pretty serious, hope he`s ok.
